"Helix painting was recommended by my daughter-in-law. She said she hoped we got to work with Chad because he was great. We did get to work with Chad and he was! He got us into the schedule quickly , walked us through the process on painting day to make sure everything was done the way we wanted and gave us a great tip about the way to make all the cut lines look clean and crisp. Then Juan and his crew arrived. They covered all the flooring and counters to protect them and got right to work. Juan said they could get it done in a day and they did! It’s beautiful. Also, Chad kept in touch with us during the day and was there for the walk-thru at the end. He used his experienced eye to help us find any missed spots or mistakes and there was only 1 little spot that needed a little more paint.This is a new spec house and this morning the construction manager came by to give us some paperwork and he was very, very impressed with the job Helix had done. "I hired this company to build a new deck in the beginning of July. It is now the middle of September and my deck is still not finished. While the time frame is not completely their fault due to material delivery they wouldn’t show up for days at a time when material was available to work with. There were times they would show up and only stay for a couple hours. The whole process was a nightmare. Their lack of quality shows in all areas of the deck. I drafted the plans myself and they were approved by the building department. I provided them with copies of the plans. They messed up 4 of the 5 concrete piers because they measured them wrong. Instead of redoing them. They poured square pads over them that were only poured on the surface for three of them. One of the outside piers was supposed to be 10 inches. They messed up the measurement then poured a 16 inch pier over it that is approximately 1.5 ft above ground. They also cut a sprinkler line that went through the pier instead of pouring over it like I explained to them. I had to replace one piece of siding that met with the deck. I bought matching siding to replace it. The workers broke the siding while moving it. They bought new siding that was cheaper and did not match the existing siding. They additional broke off another small piece of siding that was not fixed. They left material all throughout my yard for weeks, leading to my grass dying and my sprinklers unable to work because they were covered up. Nails and screws were everywhere until I picked them up. The posts were cut short for the railing, so they nailed pieces of extensions on top of the posts. They messed up fastener spots for the rails leaving holes in the railing. They originally used screws for the framing. They had to be replaced with nails even telling them before they started nails had to be used and it was in the plans from the building department as well. They used facia board for the steps until I explained to them what the facia boards were for. Leading me to be short on facia boards for the rest of the deck. They also started the deck flooring using a facia board, realized the mistake and replaced. But at that point the facia board could not be used elsewhere as it was notched for posts. I bought flashing for the ledger that was never used. When I questioned them about it he stated the siding and ledger were already put on. The quality of work was below average at best. They cut corners and I found it very concerning I had to explain to them parts of building a deck."

They offered the lowest cost estimate compared to other companies we considered, which made them a very attractive option. In addition to painting the house, they also stained our fence and painted the foundation and utility panels, which helped hide some of the less attractive areas—an appreciated touch that improved the overall curb appeal. The team was accommodating and willing to address all of our concerns, especially during the final walk-through. We appreciated their flexibility and the support they provided in helping us choose paint colors that matched our vision. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. Communication was somewhat unclear and had gaps—we had to reach out multiple times to get scheduling details. In the end, everything was completed on time. "From quote to completion of work, the job went great. Mike's team was extremely courteous, professional and timely throughout the execution of the project. In fact the initial quote was for 4 days but they completed it in 3 and on budget. The work involved the removal of 30 year old wall paper, scrape, resurface walls/ceilings and paint. The rooms really look fantastic. We are planning another similar project for the master bedroom and living room, I will definitely have them execute that project as well. Mike, also gave us some great ideas for how to finish dark wood staircase to give it a more up to date look and so will look for his company to take on that project as well. Highly recommend them for any drywall/painting projects."
