"We purchased our house three years ago and I’ve been struggling to improve the lawn from day one. I know It’s time for an intervention, but I don’t want a ton of chemicals and I hate pushy salespeople (looking at you TG), so I procrastinated getting help. Enter Mark from American Lawn and Tree Specialist. He’s been responsive, informative, and a true pleasure to deal with while I navigate my options. It’s going to take time to get my lawn healthy, but I’m confident that this company is the one who will get it there. I’ve been so impressed, that I may just switch our landscaping contract over to this company as well."

"2 gentlemen came to my house and were very polite and friendly.  They worked for 4.5 hours and never stopped.  They came to my door at every hour to let me know another hour had gone by and if I wanted them to continue.  I really appreciated that.  "

"We hired them to pressure wash our house, clean out the gutters, pressure wash and reseal the deck, and remove two trees in preparation for fence installation. The guys were friendly and efficient, and their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone needing some house and lawn work done."

"Wonderful! I had two gentlemen who worked for 3 hours and did a terrific job. My front yard looks like someone cares again. They were professional, polite and attentive. My "Heavenly Bamboo" is no longer overgrown, my Rhododendron has been rescued from an aggressive "Burning Bush", the shrubbery under my windows are trimmed and the yard generally neatened and debris bagged for removal. The only tiny negative, was that they did not contact me quickly after I bought the deal, I had to contact them BUT they were very responsive and I am delighted. I will use them again."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Conowingo, MD

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
