"<p>A couple of months ago, I consulted Angie's List (for the first time but not the last) for someone to do assorted jobs around the house.  Handymen 4 Hire answered that call.  I was having problems with one of my toilets not flushing properly.  I had to flush and flush for 'everything' to disappear.  Handymen 4 Hire came in with a plan in mind, as I did, but he quickly encountered a problem.  You must understand that I purchased an older house that had also been empty for several months.  I am finding all sorts of kinks as time goes by.  The problem was in the wall between my bathroom and one bedroom.  Luckily, he caught the problem before I had to replace two walls.  After going under the house, he discovered the 'old' pipes that needed to be replaced. They were ready to go at any time.  He replaced quite a bit to get our bathroom working better.  Since he was having to replace some of the wall covering in the bathroom, we took advantage of that opportunity to replace the old stuff with some new brighter walls.  Love it!  They had to replace some pipes under my kitchen sink.  They also removed one of those old gas grated heaters in the bathroom.  Those scare me since I have a special needs child.  Since we needed more plumbing done, we made plans for them to come back this week.  They have now replaced all of my old iron pipe plumbing with nice new PVC pipe.  I now have a new vent-a-hood in my kitchen.  I have a nice bright bathroom.  All sinks, tub, and shower are draining great</p> <p>.The next visit will be to replace my front door.  I recommend Handymen 4 Hire 100%.  They are prompt, professional, and are respectful of other people and their property.  They will show the problem when they find it.  They will get your consent on all aspects of the jobs.  These are good Christian people who do an honest days work for an honest days pay.</p>"

"After the holidays our water wasn't draining like it should and over the coarse of a few days we started having back flow problems into our shower. We have always had a handyman in the family until recently. So I always had someone to call who I trusted, but this time I didn't. I have always been worried that we would be financially taken advantage of. So I started doing my research and found Neighbor Hood Plummer called and was scheduled for an appointment almost a week later. Some coworkers of mine told me to find someone else who could come sooner, but with the ratings they had, I knew I could trust them. Once he came to our house to inspect our situation he gave us the bad news. Our main drain pipe had broken off where it bends to meet the underground pipe. The pipes that were connecting the broken pipe to the underground pipe were the wrong angle. The home builder used two 45 degree pipes making an S shape which was partly buried under ground under the house. He explained to me that it needed to slope down because you could not snake the pipe the full distance from either side of the overflow. And it needed to be dug up and replaced with the appropriate pipes, then the drain pipe would be repaired. But first they would have to clean up the sewage under the house. And when he finished he would spread lime to kill the smell. He was very clear and made sure I understood exactly what the problem was and took pictures to show me. He said it would take anywhere from a half a day to a full days work. When they came back to do the job, it took him only 4 hours and that included the time at the hardware store. I was impressed at the speed, the knowledge, and the professionalism of this company. And highly recommend them to anyone. They are now my plummer on hand!"
