"True Finish Carpenters are very hard to find. 360 Carpentry is truly the best company we have ever had work on one of our homes. His quality, attention to detail and finish skills are amazing. He completed a wall of built-ins for us and then we hired him immediately to redo our kitchen. His price was more than fair , he was here when promised. If we need any carpentry done in the future, this company will be our only choice."

Small jobs welcome

"Nice man I believe he tried hard. Door is kind of crooked not quite right and he didn't get enough weatherstrip to place on bottom of door when he went to Lowes. Apparently unaware that he was to put weatherstripping on the bottom. Owner completed the job."

Small jobs welcome

"We needed a door frame taken off to get a new refrigerator into our kitchen. He quickly and cleanly removed the existing door frame. Since our appliance delivery was delayed, he worked with our schedules to get the trim out redone afterwards. Once we gave him the greenlight, he was able to complete the new trim out and paint matched. Highly professional, quality workmanship"

"Eugene and his team were very professional and did a great job with my kitchen floor. During the demo part, they ran into some unplanned issues with the flooring, and then later with the tile itself but they always made it work or suggested the best options to move forward. The job was completed on time and the finished floors looks great."

"Charles recently completed a basement bathroom addition in our 1920s home. Our basement was already finished, with a bedroom, family room, and office, but lacked a bathroom. Charles was able to convert an existing pantry into a full bathroom. Charles listened to our interests and needs, while understanding the challenges of our small space, and created a wonderful bathroom for our family. While Charles performed a lot of the work, his subcontractors were all very professional and produced some great looking work. Throughout the process he was communicative and responsive and the project was completed within his initial time estimates. Overall, a great experience and would definitely hire again."

"Terry and team were great to work with. Very collaborative during the design process, with an attitude of "yes, we can make that work." His estimate was roughly 60% of a competing cabinetry-maker. And the communication and install was as promised. Terry even came back to drill additional holes for wires at no cost. All in all, we are extremely satisfied with the final product, and would absolutely hire Terry again."

"Did crown molding first then sheetrock repair. while first coating on sheetrock was drying, did not have additional work to do since the crown was already installed. bad project management. resulting in sheetrock repair not getting a second coat as needed. need to bring in another sheetrock guy to put on the second and final coat. crown mold inside corners have 1/8 to 3/16" gaps, had to fill with wood filler to make it look good. would not hire again for any finish type work."

FAQs for baseboard installation projects in Corbett, OR

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
