"Susan emailed me through Angie's List shortly after I purchased the $199 deal. She had an appointment slot in one of my available times. I realized later that I couldn't quite make the appointment, so I called her. She answered the phone and was amenable to pushing the appointment forward an hour. When she arrived on the day of the appointment, she was very professional, but warm and easy to talk to. I loved her sense of where our family is in life and what we could/should expect out of our home and furniture. <br /> She helped me figure out how to overcome the darkness of our large family room by adding track lighting all across the ceiling between two exposed beams, and one more track lighting down the ceiling over the stairs along the opposite wall. We already have a large entertainment center that fits well in an alcove on one wall, so we talked about paint colors that would work to bring the wood colors of the trim (lots of it!) in the room and the entertainment center together. We have great wood floors, but most of it we would like to soften with a rug for this room. Susan knew just what to do to get a rug the large size that we need. Furniture selection and placement came easy to her. She looked at other rooms in our house to get a sense of what we like and our style, and that helped her advise about the sort of things we should look for as we plan the room. <br /> On one side of the great room is a bar that I have long wanted to convert to a mud room because it's already sort of a half-closeted area. She gave me wonderful ideas about how to pull that off which I can't wait to implement. <br /> Susan was extremely helpful, understanding, and knowledgeable. She of course has further services that she could do for us, all of which she laid out but was not pushy towards at all. I really enjoyed meeting her and working with her. I would recommend her to anyone! <br />"

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. \n Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to aarontristan39@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. \n Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's \n 225 for 11x14's \n 275 for 14x17's \n After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. \n The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

"I am pleased to recommend ETL Construction to anyone desiring true quality in any type of construction project, be it initially building a new home or needing another smaller construction project.   I needed a quality builder to build my John Tee Designed Southern Living Home Plan and I found Bill Kraeling and ETL more than met that need. Bill was able to help me add the design features and materials that gave my home the "historic" look that make it so very special. From selecting the most advantageous site on my property; helping me choose finishes; to keeping me on budget; to finishing my home on time; to completing several other smaller projects several years later; Bill and his ETL crew have always been the consummate professionals!""

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Crawford, GA

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
