Customers say: Terrific value

"Dean and his guys are the best. We felt like we were a priority and the amount of work done over the 4 days was outstanding. Almost 4,000 square foot driveway - 6 concrete trucks. They were done in 3 days and we couldn't be happier. The number of people from the neighborhood that have stopped and said how great the drive looks has just amazed us."

Customers say: Quick response

"Good, quick work. The driveway looks good. They had to move heavy landscaping boulders, take out a tree, and put in a drain to keep water out of the garage. No problems with any of that. The latter didn't completely work, but not because of anything wrong with the work they did. The water is still coming under the garage door because the existing garage slab is apparently not graded correctly. They didn't say they could fix that in particular. Also, they smoothed the transition out to the street, which is nice. But, in doing so, they filled in the rain gutter that runs down the side of the road, so water collects at the end of the drive. I should have realized that would happen, but it's a little annoying. These are minor issues, though, and the work is high quality, was done promptly, and was accomplished without much of any oversight by me. I really appreciated that. Though the whole job it was pricey, he charged me exactly what he quoted."

"It has been four days now since Arnold Asphalt graded, repaired and paved my washed out gravel driveway. I have a driveway approximately 1/8 mile long with a large area in front of the garage for turn around space and parking. On top of that my drive is mostly downhill to the house and winds through the woods. Today I am one happy camper. I definitely made the right choice hiring John Arnold and his crew. They are not only hard working professionals but artists as well. John went out of his way to allay any concerns I had including checking out the location the night before paving to make sure all was set to go. John proved that his word is his bond. I also cannot say enough good things about the crew of helpers. They were hard working, obviously experienced, polite and diligent in their work. After a nine hour day plus travel time the last of the job was installed as good as the first.. As far as I am concerned, Arnold Asphalt is the only paver around."

"The guys came out and put my backyard fence in as well as a 40’ concrete sidewalk. They do it how you want the fence placed within parameters. They worked hard and were done in about a week or so! Concrete looked amazing! Thanks guys!"

"We had a great experience with Sure Seal Restorations! we called Derek who returned our call right away. He came by at hours that were convenient to our crazy work schedules to show us the products that would be used and answered all of our questions prior to the work being done. It took very little time to get the roof replacement scheduled and the roof was replaced in one day. The crew was tidy, cleaned up everything and was kind to my plants and garden. The gutter team came another day and the gutter guard guys finished up the last day. Everything was left clean and the job was done beautifully. Derek even assisted us in picking a roof color because it was not an easy decision and it turned out nicely. He is now helping us find copper gutter guards for the two small copper roofs we have. I would recommend this company any day and I definitely recommend Derek F. thanks!!"

JACK TODD PAVING INC

"Jack Todd Paving did an extremely thorough and complete job re-contouring our entire driveway to take care of multiple problems, including the car scraping when coming in, flooding for both us and our neighbor, a difficult turn-around and most importantly - our challenging drainage. Jack’s innovative design for the drainage gained the critical 2” of fall needed for the driveway to drain completely. He completely dug out the old uneven foundation, compressed the sub-soil, put in several inches of new gravel and sand, compressed and contorted them, and then put down 2 inches of large stone road asphalt and an additional inch of finish asphalt. Jack supervised the entire project from start to finish, operating much of the equipment himself. He and his entire crew were a pleasure to work with. Although some companies were far less expensive, their plans did not meet industry guidelines for this type of work and their drainage plans were woefully inadequate. But when you take into account that the cheapest guys were only planning on using about 1/3 of the material that Jack used and estimated that they could get the job done in a day while Jack’s crew took more than 3 days of solid work, I feel strongly that Jack Todd’s price was fair and that the quality of his work speaks for itself. I watched his work from start to finish and was impressed by the effort and conscientious attention to detail he and his men had. He and his crew even cleaned up the street so it is far cleaner than when they started. He and his crew have earned my highest regard and I can recommend him without hesitation. Background and important details: We were so afraid of adding to any of our neighbors’ flooding problems that we lived with a pond for a driveway and a swamp for a backyard for over 15 years. We spent a lot of time making calls, making notes and asking for estimates from every contractor who would come out, regardless of how far away they were. We called companies that paved, excavated and most especially, those that specialized in drainage. Our neighbor’s garage is lower than our garage although it is situated higher on the driveway. So it is impossible to fill the driveway without flooding his garage. There was nowhere to drain, since our backyard was higher than the end of the driveway and the city storm drain was higher than the bottom of our driveway. The result was that our driveway became a large pond after serious rains. Compounding the problem was the lack of drop between the neighbor’s garage and the bottom of the driveway, making filling the pond impossible. Our driveway was declared to be unsolvable by the most often reviewed firm on Angie’s List (Dave Decker, owner of Bloomington Sealcoat). He said he would not do the drainage and if he did the paving, there would be puddles or a big puddle. He wanted to put in the driveway before the drainage was done. Every other contractor said that would be just one rain away from flooding our neighbor’s garage. After I told Dave that Jack Todd said it could be done, his response was that “Jack enjoys these types of impossible jobs and if he wants to waste his time on this nightmare he should do it.” Dave’s negative assessments of the scope of our problem was just one of several we received. After an exhaustive search, we were able to confirm what Dave had indicated: Jack Todd was perhaps the only company that had a reputation for expertise in both paving a minimal fall driveway as well as the expertise to drain it properly. From the outcome we now have, that reputation is well justified. We can recommend his work without reservation."

"I have hired him three times after the initial installer of my driveway screwed up pavement and would not honor his work. He always used the best materials and took care to fill cracks all the way. One very deep crack required numerous filling before it was full. Some contractors would hit it quickly or fill it with backer rod and then give it a quick coat. The cracks need to be properly sealed in order to keep water from destroying drive is what he told us. The top coating is cosmetic but the crack seal is what is needed. We have recommended him to all who want a drive sealed he also installs new drives and repairs asphalt."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Crothersville, IN

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
