"I will try to keep this short. I have waited weeks till I had time to completely digest the events. I am retired, skilled and experienced in the trades plus I have many decades as a skilled and US Gov. licensed technician and inspector. The ONLY thing that kept this from being a D were the two guys nailing down the shingles. I watched them like an FAA inspector. They aligned each shingle before nailing it x5. The "roof" looks good but not my driveway. I was up on the roof the entire time with the "good crew." I saw ALL their flaws and was shocked. I wish I could post the photos I took. My drive was now has approximately 30 feet of grooves cut into it by the carpenter of this crew. He was cutting plywood for repairs and just laid the wood flat on my drive way and cut away with his skill saw. Well the skill saw went through the wood right into my drive way. I showed the Project Manager and he said "well when you reseal the drive way it will cover up the all the cuts." This same designated crew carpenter cut plywood repairs either way to small and left 1/2" to 3/4" gaps or to big. If they were to big he just beat on the plywood or jumped up and down on it till it went in. This was done to the GREAT amusement of other crew members. This same Crew Carpenter "tried" to drive a 8 Common Nail but it dent over. Instead of pulling the bent over nail out he just hammered in so laid horizontally smashed into the plywood. In front of the crew I dug it out and put in a nail correctly. They cut shingles on newly laid Ice Barrier material cutting the barrier. I mentioned this to the Project Manager and he said " the shingles will cover it." Ice Barrier is self sticking. One section had waves in it. I brought this to the Crew Lead and he said they will just cut the width of the Ice Barrier to get it to lay flat. So much for the Ice Barriers integrity. One of the guys just threw the styrofoam chutes vents in the attic between the roof rafters. The chutes say right on them staple. None of mine were stapled or pushed down into the eaves correctly. I corrected all of them myself. The project Manager was going to I subtract for my time spent. I said no thanks. My brown Valley W Channel was dented and scratched up. One 3" dent came close to going through the this metal. I again mentioned this to the Project Manager and he said it probable happened by dragging stuff over the installed Valley W Channel. For brevity these are only some of the problems/issues. The Project "only" said sorry when I handed him the final $10,000.00 check. I did speak to a manager and salesman from Infinity. They fixed stuff and offered to replace the dented and scratched W Valley Channel. I declined because it would require disturbing a good number of fresh/new shingles. For the many cuts in my driveway they offered $300 off the bill. We told them to donate the $300 to a local private animal shelter and do it in our name. It you use this company you or somebody knowledgeable in this type work oversee EVERYTHING ALL the time. The clean up guy worked hard for 12 hours picking up all the old stuff as it came off the roof."

The workers were very professional, friendly and made sure ask for my opinion where able (i.e. Which wood surface to show on posts - smooth or rough). They cleaned up everything when done. My only advice for improvement would be responding more attentively and quickly for estimates and quotes."

"<p>We were having water leaking into the crawlspace under the old wooded deck. Tom poured a footing along the wall and perimeter and put in a slight pitch to help solve the problem. The patio is beautiful! The sidewalk came out better than we could ever expect. Tom was concerned about the elevation of the sidewalk leading away from our 4 season room and added an extra step. So glad he did as my mother is elderly and this will help. How he tied in the sidewalk to the shed which faired out to a nice little area to put our garbage cans exceeded our expectations. </p> <p>Tom's Construction is an in demand company based on the their top reviews with Angie's List so schedule out in advance. We signed up late last year and got on the waiting list. We actually pushed the job out since we were replacing our 4 season room or could of had the job completed in May. We got back in his schedule but with all the rain this year and the fact that they didn't want to wreck our yard with the heavy equipment, we got it done in August. It was certainly worth the wait to go with such a professional courteous company. Very friendly and they will help you with ideas to keep costs down. </p> <p>Our yard looks totally different now and we couldn't be happier. Great experience from start to finish!</p> <br />"
