"I have never had been through a roof replacement in my life so I didn't really know what to expect. It was like a war zone out there! While they were working I thought there was no way they would be able to clean up that mess, but sure enough, by the time they left you wouldn't have even known they had been there, save for a few scraps of debris that were left behind in the flower bed (very minor). We even saw one guy crawling around the edge of the porch balcony to grab debris out of the gutters by hand. We are completely happy with the job Rob's Roofing did on the new roof... they even finished it in one day! One company that came out said it could take 3-5 days! I guess maybe that is why his estimate was thousands of dollars higher? Rob's Roofing was clear and away the best price of everyone that came out to look at our roof. Which actually made us a bit nervous at first... thinking... why exactly are they so much cheaper? I still don't know why exactly, but it definitely worked out beautifully for us. Maybe one of my favorite things was the responsiveness to email communication. All emails were responded to within hours (provided it was during business hours of course). In fact, pretty much the entire process from start to finish was done via email... which I loved! It is surprisingly hard to find contractors out there with such good email communication, even in this day and age. Our house probably had the worst roof on the entire block (and there's some rough looking houses on the block, so that's saying something), but now it is the best! It looks great and we love it. Being in West Allis, the houses are VERY close together, so to prevent damage to our neighbors' houses, they attached huge tarps to the sides of their houses. As a result, no one's siding got messed up by falling debris. And sadly, I know it could have happened because our neighbor had their roof replaced exactly one week after ours and that company (Overland) did NOT cover our house and now the one side of our 1 year old siding and trim is full of scuff marks, dirt, and scratches because they did nothing to protect our house. Thankfully Rob's crew actually had brains to figure they should put up some kind of protection. So many more great things I could mention... Rob's Roofing said no money down, full balance due when the job was complete. That is the only way to go in my opinion. One company that I had come out wanted half down up front. Um, no thanks. After signing the agreement and sending it in, the roof was done less than a week later! Again, another one said we'd be looking at 1-2 months before they could start. I am really hard pressed to even come up with any negatives... aside from the tiny amounts of debris they missed (amazed how little was left), or the fact that they DirecTv satellite required a $50 service call to be set back up properly (they are roofers, not satellite installers after all)... really though... we could not be happier!"
