The repairman showed up, determined that the unit should be replaced. Then charged $300 for the labor and parts. It only took about half an hour to replace the disposal. The work was done fast and well. However, those disposals go for $100 at Home Depot. That leaves $200 for labor which seems a bit much for a house call and half an hour's work."
