"I have used Mason Works on a previous project in 2017 (new stone wall and front step repair) and was very happy with their work. This project was to replace driveway including matching previous stone wall, add granite curbing to right side and complete replacement of existing asphalt. Stone wall is great, granite curbing is great but does not fully match in size or color (they explained that this is typical when ordering granite) and driveway really is just OK. They use a more course asphalt mi than you'd typically see and they explained that it lasts longer. My issues with driveway: • Driveway not evenly smooth, quite a few rougher spots • Section on side of driveway that you can see it's not evenly rolled • They said to wait 5 days to park on it and I waited 3 weeks instead but there are several tire marks already from parking on it"

Tomas and his crew demolished the old wall, removed the debris from the property, and constructed a new retaining wall. The work they performed was outstanding. The wall is strong and very attractive. They took the time to color match the stones with the side wall and installed drains to prevent water from building up behind the wall. What was originally a wall of cement and an eye sore became a beautiful stone wall that now adds character to my backyard. After the wall was completed, Tomas and his crew cleaned up the entire area, no small pebbles, cement, or debris of any kind was left behind. They even filled in cracking in another area of my yard. "After at least 30 years of major wear and tear, our bluestone patio around our swimming pool required a MAJOR restoration. The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. Each had a choice of materials that could be used that more or less fit the bill, but not exactly. Douglas definitely stood apart from the others. Not only did he suggest a paving stone that was exactly what I wanted, but he suggested modifying the design of the space to make it fit in better with the setting. We ended up coming up with space with a curved corner rather than a straight corner (which is what I originally proposed, and the other contractors were going to provide). It looks great!!
