"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Bear Mountain Custom Painting far exceeded our expectations in every aspect of this project. The job entailed painting the interior and exterior framing of two windows which had been replaced a month earlier plus re-painting the walls (2 coats) of an atrium foyer, and very large 2-story atrium family room, two stairwells, a large 2nd story landing area, and a dining room, plus intricate stairwell trim in the family room area, plus all 6 inch baseboards and door facings in all five rooms. Truly a major undertaking. First Jared Tuttle came by and we discussed in great detail exactly what the extent of the painting would be. Jared’s expertise in materials and processes were invaluable in saving us time and money plus improving the final cosmetic results of the project. He knew much better than us how to get the most bang for our bucks and his suggestions turned out to be spot-on in the final outcome. The next day Jared emailed us the most detailed estimate and description of work we had ever received for any painting project, which included separate breakouts for optional items which we could use to meet our budget. I cannot over-stress the trustworthiness, professionalism, competency, and cooperativeness of every person we dealt with throughout this entire project, from Jared to the job foreman (Jeff) to the superb crew (Daniel & Rodrega) and, finally, the super-helpful office support of Sonja and Wendy. I’m serious, we’ve never experienced such competency and dedication (to customer satisfaction) as we enjoyed from every person we dealt with in this company. It’s quite unusual to see such consistency throughout the personnel of any organization. Also I seriously doubt you will ever experience the clarity of understanding of what is to be done and exactly how and when and by whom it will be done as you will with this company. And the value of all this attention to detail becomes eminently obvious in the pleasure of the experience and the final results. On the ever sticky aspect of cost, I will say this … Bear Mountain is not a low-ball contractor. If your only qualification is cost, I know from experience you will be able to find someone cheaper. If quality of results and peace of mind are higher on your list, you will be very happy with the value of what this company has to offer. Obviously we are beyond pleased with the quality and appearance (and the cost) of the completed job and the over-all experience, and will definitely call Bear Mountain whenever we have more painting to be done, which will be next year for our exterior trim."

"Very well. The slight dip in the kitchen looks better and the doors trued up. The slight sag still in the kitchen floor is because of the sub floor plywood which I didn't want to get in to. They leveled the joist by shimming the tops of several cinder block posts and installing a pair permanent of steel posts under a section of joist the previous owner had cut in two."
