"Frustrated. Because they won't quote anything over the phone, I did my homework ahead of time as much as possible. We wanted a 40 or 50 gallon (tank) gas water heater, to replace the 40 gallon tank that was leaking and 13 years old. I called Tuesday night to get on the schedule, and they said they could come out Thursday (which did not work for us) or Friday (which did). They told me they used AO Smith tanks, so I spent my time reviewing tanks for size, fuel, first-hour recovery rates, and efficiency, as well as warranty rating. I had a list of five or six tanks that I thought would work well for us, and I tried to send that list to them via their web form, but that doesn't seem to have worked. When the tech came out on Friday, he said that what we had was not up to code, and they would have to do some work on changing the venting. That happens, so OK. But they also said they could not get any of the tanks I wanted. And then they quoted what they could do: $1800 for a 6-year rated tank or $2100 for a 8-year rated tank. Or $1000 to install whatever we would get, with minimal warranties on the work. Looking up the prices on the tanks that they quoted, it looks like the 6-year tank runs about $500 to $600, so there was a pretty substantial mark-up on the tank. And the labor just seemed unreal. I got a competing quote, and the competition looks like $1055 for a 6-year rated tank, installed, including permits and an estimate for adjusting the venting to bring it to code. We will see how that pans out, but I'm pretty sure I am not going to go with the $1800 quote from The WaterWorks"

"We needed to have some tuck point work done on our brick home. We found Miltech through Angi. They responded promptly and asked for a description of the work and some photos of the ares affected. They sent us back a proposal with an estimate of what the job would cost. Since it was a relatively small job, they were able to work us right into their schedule. As they did the work they were able to identify some other spots that needed repair that we could not see from the ground. The work was done in a timely manner and looked great. I will call them again when we need work done. Thank you Miltech."

"Found Bob on Angie's list.  He was the only welder who would come to your house.  Thought that service would cost me an arm & a leg, but boy was I in for a great surprise.  Bob came from one side of the Dayton Area to the opposite.  He came in one day.  He expertly welded the frame of my broken NordicTrack (bad weld job at the factory) and charged me $75 for everything.  While he was in neighborhood, my neighbor brought over an antique tool for him to repair.  A difficult job, as old cast steel is tricky to weld.  Bob took 15 extra minutes to do an expert job on this tool.  For this he charged $20.  I would absolutely recommend Robert's Discount Mobile Welding to anyone in this area who needs anything welded. <br />"

"They did a really good job. For me, it was relatively painless. I merely had to be at the house twice: first, to let them in to measure the windows and second, to install the new windows about three weeks later (actually, separate panes of glass as opposed to full window replacement). Measurement took about 10 minutes and replacement took about an hour. In both cases, the workers had many years of experience doing this work, so that was very reassuring. Yes, I was a little surprised when I found out how much it cost, but I've never had this experience before, and since I was hustling to list the house for sale, I wasn't in a mood to comparison shop. Seriously, it was easy. I would use them again, they made it that easy on me."

"I dealt directly with John Fisher and I was treated with respect and courtesy. My purchase was small but John spent a great deal of time with me to answer all my questions. John knows as much about the previous metals market as anyone I have met. I would recommend Fisher Precious Metals without reservation. Their prices are fair and they are very responsive. It is nice to find someone you can trust in this business."
