"Deck looks great. Hopefully the sealant will last. It was a big job with a deadline and Jeff got it done. When snags occurred (as they always do in a big job), Jeff took care of them without a hitch"

"Stauffer's did a great job on my 2-story Tudor style home with synthetic stucco and cedar trim. I wanted the project done within a month of getting the quote, and they were able to accommodate. There were several parts to the project that they handled: power wash, repair holes in both wood and stucco made by carpenter bees and woodpeckers, replace trim boards that were damaged from incorrect flashing placement, prep and painting of all exterior surfaces including garage doors, entry doors, gutters/downspouts, and chimney flashing. Jorge and his crew worked diligently and with pride in the results. They power washed the entire exterior including all the brick and a large chimney, even removing stains from a rusted chimney cap. Multiple holes were patched and now can't tell where they were. Jerry (the owner) kept in close touch, making sure I understood when they would be doing what, and the options when it came to replacing the rotted wood and repairing damaged stucco. The carpentry expert he brought in for that part of the job did flawless work. During the final inspection, Jerry walked around the house with me and the crew quickly took care of a few things that were missed. One of them had roofing expertise and he fixed how one of the gutters was incorrectly positioned. I would definitely recommend Stauffer's Painting, Jerry is a straight shooter and very nice to work with, and his company does a quality job at a fair price."

"Greg came out and did the initial inspection and estimate. He had some concerns, spoke with the owner, felt the job was complicated but necessary. Bill and his crew came out a couple of weeks later. The work was not easy but they kept at it. Bill was very communicative, knowledgable and friendly. He kept us in the loop the entire couple of days they were there. And despite running into some unexpected problems which slowed their work, they came in right on estimate. I couldn't recommend them more."

"Also operates under "The Curb Appeal Pros" (both company names are on the email receipt I was sent). They were hired to perform gutter cleaning on June 22nd. The process for making the appointment was very easy and their use of technology (texting) to confirm and keep up to date on schedule was nice. I chose them because they were local and the company I was originally going to hire was 4 weeks out on availability. Gentleman showed up for appointment and we walked around my house so I could show him the lay of the gutters. I was concerned about reaching the second story corner of the house because it was over a basement walkout. he said no problem because once he got up on roof he would "be like a monkey up there". The gentleman got his ladder up next to the house, went to his vehicle and pulled out a gas powered blower! I was surprised because I had never seen that before and now I know why. Yes, my gutters were "blown out" but if you can imagine water and decomposing leaves blowing out of your gutters, yes it made a mess of black streaks over the sides of the gutters and onto the siding where it was blown onto. The gutter cleaning service listed on the website states "Our team will remove all leaf & debris and spray out the downspouts." Our downspouts were not sprayed out either. We found out upon paying that he was subcontracted out to do gutter cleanings for the company and was "super busy". My wife just wanted to get him gone so we could clean up the mess, We will be buying a power washer ourselves this weekend to work on cleaning up. This may be how this company regularly cleans gutters, I would recommend asking the company you hire in advance how they clean gutters because there are many companies in the area that will clean by hand and not get on your roof for the same or less money we paid. You just might have to wait a little bit to schedule the service."

Gutterglove is rated THE #1 gutter protection system by Consumer Reports with the highest score of 89 of all systems tested. Gutterglove uses a micromesh stainless steel screen on top of a solid aluminum frame to keep all the leaves, pine needles, seed pods, birds and debris from getting into your gutters. Gutterglove is MADE IN AMERICA and is backed by a 25 year no-clog warranty. \nThere is no open lip (like the "Reverse Curve" or "Surface Tension" system designs) that allows small leaves, helicopters, needles or birds access to the inside of a Gutterglove protected gutter.\nThe Gutterglove frame is made of solid aluminum, not plastic, so it does not flex or warp. Systems made of mesh and plastic can flex allowing their screen to peel out.\nGutterglove is also installed on a slant instead of flat in your gutters so debris will naturally move to the front edge of the gutter and fall off with the rain/wind. Systems that lay flat tend to collect debris under the shingles.\nWe also offer THE ICE BREAKER SYSTEM. A heated gutter protection system that not only keeps your gutters clean but melts snow and ice at the gutterline to keep icicles and ice dams from forming. \nGutterglove is normally installed on your existing gutters. We do not have to replace them! However, if you want new or larger gutters we can do that work for you as well.

FAQs for roof cleaning service projects in Dayton, OH

To find a reputable ice dam removal company, check verified customer reviews and ensure they have the proper credentials. Look at online testimonials and consult reputable agencies like the Better Business Bureau to validate their service record. Contact the company to ask about their experience, hourly rates, and safety practices. This helps ensure you're hiring a pro with proven expertise and a solid track record to protect your home from ice dam damage.

Ice dams can cause extensive damage that jeopardizes your entire roof structure. They can lead to issues like attic condensation, broken roof sheathing, persistent leaks, visible wall water stains, mold in your attic insulation, sagging drywall, rotting attic framing, and roof collapse. This damage compromises your home's integrity and requires immediate professional attention to ensure proper repair and safety.

Most insurance policies don’t include coverage for the removal of ice dams since it's considered preventive maintenance. However, damage caused by ice dams—such as roof collapse, extensive water damage, or structural failures—may be covered by your policy. It's a good idea to contact your insurance provider to understand your coverage.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams. Use a proper roof rake from the ground or a safe ladder—never climb onto an icy roof. Also, consider addressing any inadequate attic insulation that may cause heat leakage. Promptly clearing snow minimizes risks and helps maintain a safe, durable roof.
