"Excellent service. Professional - the person that gave the quote explained everything very clearly. The Installer (garage door opener and replacement of some parts on the actual door) was excellent and thorough. Tech cleaned up the wiring that was there and added some reinforcements. The previous door had not been installed very well. (Handyman special maybe?) There was an issue with the new opener kicking the breaker so I had to get an electrician our before I could use it. I went from 1/2 horse to 3/4 horse, which the electrician said I didn't I need due to size of door- 1 car small garage. I had no idea what I really "needed". I would recommend company though I think they are a bit pricey (But generally you get what you pay for.) and I maybe should have researched horse power needs before committing."

"Garage door wouldn't open when I touched the button and couldn't figure out why.  After doing a visual inspection I figured out that the spring had broke in two.  I immediately went to angieslist to look for a garage door company and found Local Garage Door.  They had a coupon for preventative maintenance that included a spring replacement for $179.00 and I immediately called them.   To my surprise the could come out the same day between 1pm and 3pm, the technician was here at 1pm.  It took the tech about an hour and he was done, the grage door never sounded so good.  It used to be noisy and have metal against metal noises, now you can just hear the garage door motor running.  The tech was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about what needed to be performed.  
In regards to price, yes the coupon was for $179 and I did pay $300 but that was because I needed to change out both springs and one spring cost $125 and the coupon is only good for one spring.

"I needed to have an exterior door installed in place of an old one. Since I needed to have the door replaced right away, Jerry was able to fit me into his busy schedule. The old door was steel and had wood rot from water damage, and the molding needed to be replaced as well. I wanted to replace the door only; however, Jerry convinced me to replace everything with fiberglass so I wouldn't have to be concerned about any more water damage. The steel door never fit correctly and was hard to open and close. After Jerry's diligent work, I can now open and close the door with ease. He made sure that I was perfectly satisfied and did an excellent job. He is a true professional, and I cannot say enough about his hard work and attention to detail. He was very thorough and explained everything to me. I would highly recommend him and would definately hire him again."

That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."
