"We love the new sidewalk that they installed this summer. There was a bit too much push to sell more products than we wanted- add one after the project was done. We would hire them again for the installation of pavers in a patio or walkway."

"Jerry was honest, professional, and polite on the phone and while here, punctual arriving, did not rush us, and gave expert advice as well as a fair quote to do the work needed to save our trees. <br />"

"Jeff Weiher began the work on schedule. The only delays were due to the special railing he had ordered for us and it was installed as soon as it arrived. After the stairs leading to our lower patio were roughed in, we decided we needed them to turn in another direction. Jeff was able to do that and added a landing to accommodate. We're happy with his suggestions for deck material and railing. Very nice looking."

"Big snow storm in our first winter in Wisconsin. We saw the Lowney's crew working on a neighbor's driveway and asked them for a quote on the spot. They were able to provide a fair price and immediately do the work on our driveway and sidewalks. They also came back that night and cleaned it up again so it's ready for the morning commute. <br />"

"I actually conducted all of my business with Dand D Excavating via e-mail. The Office Manger, Amy Dorn, answered all of my questions and scheduled the service via e-mail for me. Every single e-mail was answered promptly and I'm talking about within a 24 hour period... I sent an e-mail the night before at 7 p.m. and my e-mail was returned within minutes confirming everything. Amy was extremely pleasant and professional to work with during the entire process. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />They did call me the morning of 09/06 when the topsoil was delivered to let me know they were running ahead of schedule and asked if they could deliver sooner than my regularly scheduled time which was not an issue at all. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I'm no landscaper and I'm a first time home owner. The dirt delivered was brown and well sifted. There were not many rocks at all. Let me throw out a disclaimer. This isn't pitch black organic dirt you'd buy in an expensive 20-pound bag from Home Depot. It is GOOD dirt. I don't think I'd utilize it to start an organic, high-quality garden, but my wife and I purchased this truckload to grade away from the entire foundation of our entire home. I'm placing that disclaimer in because I've read a lot of poor reviews given by individuals who seem to be whole-heartedly disappointed they aren't getting ultra-premium black-as-the-night-sky organic dirt. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Dand D Excavating and Landscape Service, Inc. did everything we asked and then some... they were a pleasure to do business with and I would gladly recommend them to any of my friends and family. Nicely done, guys... <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in De Pere, WI

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
