Small jobs welcome

"They repaired a deck that had been hit by a large tree top. While gathering estimates for the work I was very pleased to see the level of detail they offered regarding the needed repair. Ultimately, I chose them because they located an issue with the deck that was not picked up by the other contractors. At the end of the project I found their workmanship to be quite good. They were punctual, friendly, and had great ideas with regarding to the repair. I will definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends. In addition, I have already spoken with them about completing other projects at our home."

"People are very nice and personable. They previously put in a fence and now the hand rails. They do a fantastic job and clean up. The rails match the fence and both fence and rails look great! I highly recommend them."

"My chair was broken in two places. At his request, I sent several pictures to Mr. Davis to evaluate the problem and provide an estimate. We agreed on a price and date/time for the work to be completed. Mr. Davis arrived as scheduled and completed the welding work in my garage. He was very professional, explained what he was going to do and finished the work in a timely manner."

"Their work has always been "top-notch." Over the last 25 years, they replaced the tile twice, repaired the coping stones when needed, and last summer installed all new modern coping stones. This spring they are scheduled to re-plaster the pool for the second time in 25 years. They also assist with deck renovation by applying the mastic between the coping and surrounding pool deck. We are always pleased with results of their work. They provide the cost of the work upfront and always stick to the agreed price. Scheduling is tricky as it depends on the weather but once they begin the work, they stick with it until it is done without much downtime for use of the pool."

"The work was of average quality with wood pickets bowing within weeks of being installed. Gate was not installed properly and sags. As these guys later said ......we are just farm boys who can make more money building fences......and their communication and comprehenion skills are non-existent They said they would correct the issues and months later they have not and said they have to meet with me first but every time I try and schedule something they are busy. I keep 15% of the remaining back until they corrected the work which should have been done months ago. After months of nothing, they demanded that I pay the bill or they will remove the fence. They will now not agree to correcting the issues."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Deal-island, MD

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
