The work was performed when he told us it would be and completed very efficiently and effectively. He communicated regularly and advised when unforeseen complications arose (there weren't many but I expected on a 30 year old roof on a 70 year old house there would be some). "From start to finish the majority of the interaction with power home remodeling was pleasant. William our salesperson was amazing and he taught us a lot about windows and insulation. We waited over 6 months for our front door but our windows were installed on time and we are pleased with them. We had a few hiccups along the way and communication could be improved upon but overall it wasn’t a bad experience. They did do everything within their power to rectify the fact that we had to wait so long for our door. FYI if you are getting windows replaced go with power home, the install went well and the installers cleaned up after themselves. If you are getting doors replaced and you need them right away you may need to shop around to see what the wait time is because you will have to wait awhile. However I will say that the door is of good quality and the installers that installed the door did a great job"

"They were on time and professional. The job did not go without problems though. After installation we had a rainy day and had several leaks at the back porch cover. They did come back within 2 days and fixed the problem. Also had some shingles that were sticking up on the roof and they added more glue and that fixed the problem. As far as I can tell at this point, all leaks have been fixed in a timely manner. They were quick to respond to our problem. I would hire them again, but my husband was super upset and he does not share my sentiment. He did not expect any problems after job completion. I was much more calm and had no doubt they would come back and all would be well....which it was in the end."

"Hometown Restoration did an excellent job repairing a leak caused by our adjacent neighbour. They used a dehumidifier to dry out the wood before removing and sanitizing a section of the rock sheet. They also had a hygienist test for asbestos even though our building had been rebuilt. I am quite grateful to the technicians of Hometown Restoration for their efforts. They followed the COVID guideline and made us feel 100% safe during the cleanup process. I would hire them again if I needed to fix water damage issues in the future. "Steve was our second estimate on getting the work done. He was extremely knowledgeable on different brands, types and manufacturers warranties on asphalt shingles. What won us over was his honesty and lack of "high pressure sales pitch" that we experienced from the first company and many times more previously when we had anyone over to give us estimates to do work on or in our home. Prior to the installation Steve recommended that we remove all fragile items from our walls as well from our bookcase that was touching the wall because of the possible vibrations during removal and replacement of our roof. This is something my wife and I would not have thought of without him recommending it. Day 1. His team removed the old shingles and tar paper on the first day and had the new tar paper installed. He arranged the delivery of the new shows shingles at the end of the day. Day 2. The crew and Steve showed up :10 early on the next morning. Once they began the installation of the shingles I was very happy to see that they cleaned up as they went along. They finished late in the afternoon, picked up all the debris in the yard and then used a big roller magnet to get any roofing nails that were in my yard. They hauled away the dumpster they had on site. Day 3. Steve and the gutter guy showed up. The old gutters and down spouts were removed and the new seamless gutters and downspouts were installed. They both walked around our house and cleaned up after the job. My wife and I were so pleased by Choice Exteriors punctuality, ability to follow directions (keeping the gate closed so our dog wouldn't get out), quality of the work and friendly customer service. We will happily recommend Steve's company for our neighbors and friends!"
