"My ceiling started dripping on Saturday. <br /> I called Doug on Sunday - had a response within 2 hours. He said that he might be able to have his partner come to the house on Monday, or he could guarantee Tuesday morning and explained his minimum charge. Sure enough at 8am on Tuesday, he was at our house - our problem was big enough that to do a complete job, they would exceed the minimum charge time frame. Doug notified my wife of this and she authorized them to keep going. <br /> She informed them that we might have another area that might need treatment - they completed the initial area and then tackled the second area. I talked with her on the phone and she informed me that some of the snow that they cleared from the roof was against a basement window - they cleared that snow and cleared all of the snow off our decks. When I got home, the entire roof in the area of the leak was clear - the ice dams were gone, as was all of the snow. We have a couple of areas that could be future problems, but right now, our problems are solved. They could have recommended an immediate clearing of the potential problem areas, but, instead recommended we watch for problems - this meant that our immediate problems were solve - without inflating the bill. <br /> Doug was very professional and his crew (he ended up calling in a third person) were friendly. I think that the service was fairly priced - expensive, but priced at or below what was quoted. <br /> This winter in Minnesota has been an odd one - the snow has come in small increments - but has never melted. Quite frankly, I hope that we don't need Doug's ice dam removal in the future - but will feel comfortable calling him again. <br />"

Our materials and crew showed up as promised and the work was done fast and efficient and passed inspection with the City of Buffalo easily. With Nathan Knopp's guidance and support, we were also able to upgrade our gutter guard to a style/manufacturer that is better suited/engineered to our steep roof pitch for our designer lake home. I have to say that working with Nathan Knopp and Pro Tech was easy and very informative and my wife and I feel that we came away from this experience with not only an upgraded roof and gutters, but with a lot more understanding of how the roof and gutter system in our home works to protect our home from the elements. "It went very well. Two engineers came and looked at the outside of the house first, then the inside/basement/foundation. They educated me on how old houses settle, and what kinds of settling are of concern and what kinds are just normal and nothing to worry about. They gave me a list of things to look for and keep an eye on, but overall we were all pleasantly surprised that a 133 year old home was in such good shape. They also came up to the attic and looked at some roof concerns, and took a look at a detached garage to give me some information on whether or not a roof expansion would be possible with the current structural supports. They answered all of my questions and explained things in a way I understood; they offered information above and beyond what I thought to ask about that was useful. One thing I liked (but my realtor wasn't a fan of, tbh) was their friendly, folksy way of talking and relating to me, while at the same time offering professional opinions that were helpful to me."

On time for each step, early starts to complete project before the heat of day. There was roof damage from the previous leak - he explained additional work, costs prior to proceeding. I was asked early to pick up additional shingles. He was respectful & plan-full to prevent interior mess of stuff falling in. Completed the process by reviewing warranty and any care questions I had. The appearance of quality of workmanship is impressive. In fact we hired him to proactively replace another aging skylight. Looks great, and handled the 6/11/17 hailstorm perfectly. "Facia installed looked better than the original install, it was straight and not one bit uneven, Shingles install was the best install I’ve seen, every corner and angle was put together perfect. I have had 3 storm damage roof repairs in 10 years and used a different contractor on each. I wish I would have found EZ Home on the first two installs."
