"Mark cleaned and stained my deck across the back of my house. We had to work out a day for the staining due the rain, snow and schedules. The deck turned out great, I am very pleased with the job Mark and Nathan did. Kathy from Arvada"

"I gave Chris some specifications to make a lot of shelving in in a fairly large basement storage room. He built some sturdy floor to ceiling shelves. As this area was unfinished, he constructed some floating walls and completed the project with dry walls. in addition, he painted the dry wall. His workmanship was very good, and he cleaned up after each day's work. Chris is very professional and takes pride in his work. I would really recommend Rocky Mountain Remodeling."

"Jared and Jeff are top notch! I purchased a new furnace five months ago. I met with four heating and cooling companies and chose Premier for several reasons. 1) I liked that they were not a large operation. I can call anytime and get either Jared or Jeff and I know that I am not paying inflated prices for large overhead. 2) They have great character. I felt comfortable with both Jeff and Jared. Down to earth. 3) Competitive pricing 4) I wasn't over sold. Jared could have sold me a much more expensive unit but he explained all options and gave me his honest opinion on what would work best for my home. He was also very patient with answering all of my questions. And I had a lot. 5) They take care of you. I had an issue with getting the furnace filter in and they came right over to fix the issue. No questions asked. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I have been very very impressed with Bill Isbell and his outstanding crew. The kitchen looks fantastic! They were on time every single day and were fastidious about cleaning up - which was very important since I have two small children. Bill was a pleasure to work with and I would hire him or refer him to anyone who needed an honest, trustworthy contractor."

"I had 3 pieces to be fixed 1 a spindle rocking chair that needed to be taken totally apart and put back together - they did a great job. 2 a rocker missing a spindle and chewed on by puppies - 3 an ottoman with pieces of leather torn and coming off - it looks like new. The work was done in my house and you would not know that the work was done there."

FAQs for earthquake protection service projects in Denver, CO

A seismic retrofit helps stop a home from sliding off its foundation during an earthquake. Seismic retrofits also reinforce walls, ceilings, and chimneys to minimize damage. To complete your home’s earthquake retrofit, you can use several methods independently or together, depending on your home’s condition and architecture, such as bolting foundations, bracing foundations with a cripple wall, reinforcing walls and chimneys, and adding an automatic seismic gas shutoff valve.

If your house was built before 1980 in an earthquake-prone area, schedule a retrofit as soon as possible. Building codes didn’t require modern bracing and bolting until the early ’80s, so older structures are more likely to slide off their foundations. Even newer homes benefit from a pro inspection to confirm anchors, shear walls, and gas shut-off valves meet current standards. Spending on a retrofit today can spare you costly repairs after a major quake.

To determine if your house is bolted to its foundation, you should inspect the area underneath your home for visible bolts or metal foundation plates. Observing bolts extending through the sill plate or seeing metal connectors securing the structure confirms a proper retrofit installation. If you are uncertain or the area is difficult to access, hiring a qualified home inspector will ensure a reliable assessment of your home’s anchoring system.

A solid retrofit can help your house withstand earthquakes up to a 7.0 magnitude without sliding or collapsing. By bolting the frame to the foundation and bracing cripple walls, you cut the risk of serious damage and injury. Insurers are aware of this, so many offer lower premiums on properly retrofitted homes. In short, it’s a safety upgrade that also protects your wallet.
