"I originally needed to get my roof redone as part of a solar installation project, and the solar company referred me to Cosmic Roofing as their preferred partner. Due to the unusual roof slope on my house, several other companies had turned me down for this project. Cosmic sent me David A. to go over the initial conversation of the project. We talked about work streams, dates, expectations, areas of concern, and of course the price. He showed me sample tiles, colors, materials, and explained some items that I hadn't taken into account, such as adding new vents to pass the permit process. I felt like David really understood what needed to be done and how he would tackle it. That was why I felt comfortable signing a work order right away. The tiles were delivered within days, which I was pleasantly surprised at. The roof installers came the next day, and did their job efficiently. Permits were reviewed the same week, and I officially had a new roof in less than a month's time. It's commendable how efficient this company is. My house is now noticeably cooler on sunny days because David recommended the white roof tiles. Of course, the fast speed made it easy for the solar company to do their installation too. We're very happy to have worked with Cosmic Renovation and Roofing. It wasn't until I spoke with David that I found out they also do solar installations. I might've had them make a bid for the solar work as well, but since I had already decided on someone else, it wasn't in the cards. "Lovett & Lovett Roofing just completed work inspecting and repairing my pitched asphalt shingled roof on a new home I recently purchased. I am a repeat customer; having them work on a flat tar & gravel roof on my prior house. They are the utmost professionals. Communicative, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. "Local Professionals come through: I had a water flow problem on the front center part of my roof that resulted in some of the sheathing under the overhang to dry rot. I also had a rain gutter with damage caused by a leaning tree. I called Roofmasters for a free quote. Johnathon explained the process and answered all my questions. Aaron arrived on-time for the quote on 8/27/2018. He explained what caused the dry rot and answered my questions regarding concerns I had about other areas of my roof. He put my mind at rest – telling me that my roof appeared to be in good shape except for the area that brought him there that day. I received the written quote on 8/31/2018 for the roof and gutter repairs and scheduled the work to be done on 9/14/2018. They called 30 minutes before arrival as promised. They were professional, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves well. They even replaced a couple cracked tiles at no additional charge. They are a local company (Suisun City, CA) that obviously still takes pride in their work. This seems to be a trait that is in short supply these days. While we haven’t had heavy wind or rain yet to fully test the repairs, I’m confident in the quality of their work—and it’s reassuring that they back it up with a guarantee. A bonus: during the service, they even took the initiative to clean out an insect nest in one of the vents they didn’t replace. That attention to detail really stood out. Communication throughout the process was outstanding. They were very responsive to all our questions and kept us informed every step of the way. "Pricing of roof: I had four pricing quotes and they came to be the second lowest. However the delta between the highest, and the lowest was not much in any case. Thus I could go with any one of the four. Pricing of the solar: I had a several quotes including Solar City, and they were in the lowest pack (compared $/kw of the system with all the incentives). Roof Work: The quality of the work is superb. They did exactly what they promised on the quote. Solar work: Solar panels on the roof looks nice; Even though I have a relatively large system due to the pond operation, the panels are arranged well and all the wiring is hidden inside either under the panel or the roof attic through conduit. Clean up: They cleaned all the mess around the house after the work is done, which makes my wife (and in turn myself) happy. Shadowfax gave me an additional discount for doing the roof and the solar together. This is good because it helps me not only the finance side but also dealing with any potential defects once the work is done. I did not deal with two different installers for any roof related issues. The roof is tested well during this winter as we had an unusual heavy rainy season. No leak is found up to now, and the new gutters route the water the way supposed to be. The solar production is too early to say (we need at least one year to see), however, it looks like producing as promised. In the month of March, the production is slightly less than the yearly average (total system capacity/12)."
