"Troy with TWC was very responsive, professional, and talented. We had a large-sized tree break off and fall on our backyard fence. He was not only able to quote us same day, he offered a competitive price and was able to bring heavy duty equipment same day and complete the tree removal with precision and expertise. Will absolutely hire TWC again and highly recommend them to others!!"

"We needed a 20x16 area of topsoil removed and gravel added for a new deck build. TWC was prompt, professional, and did excellent work for a very reasonable cost. Will be looking to hire them again this spring for another project."

"Ken and his crew did an amazing job. I had 3 trees that had fallen and needed removal as well as many areas that had a ton of dead/rotted branches. They were quick and did an amazing job of cleaning the area of all debris...highly recommend them and will use them again!"

"9 shrubs (Barberry and Burning Bushes) and their stumps were removed in less than 1 1/2 hour. The crew was respectful of the surrounding plants and we did not have a mess to clean up."

"Super customer service all the way through. Their estimate was reasonable--$950 to remove a very large, very dead ok tree. We got two other estimates, one from a company with awful reviews, and one from another company for $75 less, but they had no idea when they could do it... not a terrible sin, but for $75 more Rogers & Sons Affordable Lawn and Tree Care got it done right away. The crews (one for taking it down, one for grinding the stump) were both hard working and courteous. They ground down large roots that were close to the surface, too, and when all was said and done, they cleaned up. The only hint they'd been there was the missing tree and patch of dirt. Real pros. I'm having them out to price other tree/landscaping work and will hire them again if we can. Highly recommend."

"Cooper and his team arrived on time, (actually a few minutes early) He took a few minutes to go over exactly what they would be doing and then got right to work. I was extremely impressed with the care and efficiency that was exhibited in taking down a tree that was extremely close to my home. I was holding my breath, but Cooper and his guys made it look easy. 5 star service!!"

"I live in a woody parcel of land, with various tall hard woods. I complete most of my tree removals myself; however, when trees are leaning towards my house, I contract Darwin. One of Darwin's strongest attributes is listening to preferences. I burn firewood, so leaves all the trunk wood for me to section myself and also keeps my costs within my budget. Frequently, Darwin has suggested alternative options that either have reduce the cost or have a more appealing appearance. I have had him do work for my 80- year old grandma, removing over 35 pine trees. He is always prompt, polite and a quick worker."

"Based upon the reviews and pricing, we hired Hive Mind Enterprises to remove initially (1) Tree, but upon further review, we had (2) additional trees removed as well as the stumps removed. Hive even left a bag of grass seed to put down in the bare areas. There was a slight delay due to medical emergency and some minor staffing issues, but Ian and Dar both worked diligently to resolve the issues and working well into the night to get things done. They are hard workers who are trying to establish a growing business and should be considered for jobs both small and large."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Dillsburg, PA

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
