"I hired Zach to install a french drain, to plant some trees, and to install a rock bed at the edge of my property. Zach and crew were very timely and pleasant, and the price was right. But after completion i noticed some minor property damage, and some minor issues with the quality of work and cleanup. I'm a reasonable guy and sent Zach a text letting him know my thoughts, hoping to have a direct convo about it. However, I have not heard back from him at all. Hate to not leave 5 stars, but a little extra customer service would have gone a long way here. Here is that text: Hey Zach, just completed the final invoice. Apologies it took me a few days, we were camping with no cell service until yesterday. I wanted to let you know since i believe in constructive feedback, I'm not happy with some of the work done. My fence post was ran into and dented. I'll try to use a crowbar to repair but if that does not work i'll have to order a replacement & install. A bunch of the trees are planted at a pretty strong 30 degree angle instead of being upright. I'll straighten these out. There are still lots of big rocks in the lawn where the rock pile was. I'll take 30 minutes to clean it up. I know it rained heavily after the fresh soil / seed was planted, but some straw would have gone a long way to keep it in place. I'll have to re rake and seed and straw everything. Some of these are small things, but they leave a bad impression, and I wish your team would have just been upfront with me about the bent fence post."

"Sean installed a new tongue and groove ceiling on an existing deck roof. He also installed a new exterior door. Sean has an excellent attention to detail and was a pleasure to work with. Sean was always concerned with my satisfaction asking many times if I was happy with how the job looked. Sean also pointed out some problems he saw on the deck that another contractor had built a year earlier. He pointed these things out due to safety concerns. He fixed a railing issue that could have been catastrophic which I very much appreciated. Sean was punctual, hard working and a pleasure to work with. I will not hesitate to call Sean back in the future for any work that I need done."

"Prestige replaced our 1020 sq. ft. asphalt driveway, which was installed when the house was constructed 35 years ago and badly degraded. Jeff promptly responded to our inquiry, provided expert advice upon inspection, and gave us a detailed cost estimate for the work. Prestige completed the job as promised for exactly the amount estimated. The project included excavation and installation of a new base, as well as the blacktop and restoration. They also removed the remnants of a broken basketball post at the edge of the driveway and filled in the hole. The new driveway looks great. The transition into the garage is perfectly level. Connection to the township street is smooth with end joint sealed by hot tar. The Prestige team was very professional from start to finish. They notified us a week in advance of the work to ensure we could support the schedule. They showed up at 7:30 am on the day promised, worked throughout the day and completed the job at about 4:30 pm, including superior clean-up and restoration. Sod adjoining the driveway was preserved and replaced at the end of the job. A small decorative retaining wall separating shrubbery at the edge of the driveway was also restored (and improved). All residual asphalt and debris was swept up and removed from driveway, yard and township street. We are very satisfied with the work and will definitely use Prestige again when the driveway needs to be resealed."

"Everything went very well. After I ordered deal, rep from company called within a day or two to schedule two appts. The first appt to examine window to confirm size, etc and to get estimate for window well piece as mentioned above. After first appt. $10 added because I had wood frame that needed replaced (which was no problem/reasonable and clear that there could be added costs via deal. Estimate for install of new window well was $75. We had them do everything for the additional $85. The office called prior to second appt to confirm we wanted add-on. Worker was prompt and completed work as promised for second appt. They did a nice job. I would recommend them and will use again."

"<p>We bought our house a year ago, and the driveway had not been sealed for years before we bought it.  We wanted to have it sealed before winter, because while it was in pretty good shape, some areas were wearing thin - there was what appeared to be dark gravel showing that I thought would start to come out in the winter when I would be shoveling it.</p> <p>I had seen signs up for driveway sealers, even had someone stop by my house last spring and offered to do it, but I knew that there are a lot of scams with this, so I found the closest one listed on Angie's list.  I didn't call anyone else.  He came out and looked at the driveway, recommended two coats since it had not been sealed in awhile, and recommended using a particular kind that he said was the same material used to build the driveway, not one you would just walk into a hardware store and get.</p> <p>On the day he sealed it, he came sometime after I left for work and it was done before I got home.  He stopped by shortly after I got home.  I did have to park on the street for one night, but he said it would be dry by morning.  This dried faster than a normal job because it had not been sealed in years, so it absorbed the sealer quickly.  He recommended that I have it sealed within a year just because it hadn't been sealed for so long, so I will be calling him before next winter.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Donora, PA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
