"We had some storm damage to our roof, a combination of wind and hail. We checked, had a few quotes and went with Franos Roofing (who we found on Angie's List.) After contacting the insurance company, Arek met with the adjuster at our place and they inspected the roof. A few days later the insurance company denied the full replacement and wanted to just do several ugly patches. Arek contacted them and a few days later we received a call from our insurance saying the roof was approved - and that they were also going to repair the shed roof. The old roof was stripped and the new one on in a single day (it's a big roof!) This is the third roof we've had put on, and this was the best job we've seen. Attention to detail, replaced all the vents and fans, all new flashings and drip edge, ice shield - everything we expected and more. When they were done, they cleaned up extremely well. I ran a magnetic sweep over the driveway (Our car got a flat from a stray nail after the last roof) - not a single nail. Not one. Like many people in our area, we had a really bad ice dam this past winter. We called Arek with concerns about damage it may cause - instead of saying "get rid of the snow" he sent over a crew and they cleared off the roof. Amazing service. "Purchased a new multi-flat house to live in and rent, and what we hoped were small issues in the roof ended up being big ones that necessitated a new roof or a repair. They explained both options (repair or new roof) fully and carefully, and were extremely transparent about the cost, the ideal solution, but also what would work for a while. Because the property we purchased also ended up having mold issues, doing the job the right way was our priority, and we went with the new roof. Alsip were *extremely* responsive and worked hard to fit us in before more bad weather hit, which we really really appreciated. Because we were not able to be present for the install, they sent us a ton of before, after, and in-process pictures as well. We'd go with them again in a heartbeat for any roof projects (we're intending to do a green roof down the road and will be calling Alsip first), and encourage everyone else to do the same."

"August 25, 2019 Guardian Roofing Systems LLC Very accommodating, professional, great customer service, they kept us updated on the progress through completion. FLAT / LOW SLOPE ROOF SYSTEM TEAR OFF AND REPLACEMENT I represent an owner occupied 3 story condo association/ building. After learning that we needed to replace our roof as soon as possible, we immediately sought estimates and/or proposals for the job. At the last minute, I decided that a fourth estimate through Home Advisor couldnâ t hurt. I knew that Home Advisor would have already conducted the initial vetting process which would save us time in choosing a roofing contractor. After providing the preliminary information on the Home Advisor website, I was contacted by a representative from Guardian Roofing Systems who came out to our building and conducted an assessment. An estimate was provided the same day for a Flat/Low Slope Roof System Tear Off and Replacement. The representative informed me that we needed a lot of work done but could only give a preliminary estimate because tear off was needed to reveal the true extent of damage. Also, the project manager for Guardian stated the project would only take two days (unbelievable, the other 3 roofing proposals indicated the job would take 5-6 days to complete). Guardian presented us with two proposals, we choose the one we could afford. On Wednesday, August 21, 219 our roof replacement project began, equipment was dropped off the day before. The Guardian work crew arrived very early, ready to work each day. The crew started immediately around 7:30AM and worked until after 7:00PM, until tear off was completed. The first day was devoted to tearing off the old roof that had multiple layers, and the second day involved new roof stellation, chimney repairs, and clean-up. The project was completed Thursday evening at about 6:00 PM, August 22, 2019. A couple of unit owners on the top floors of our building were initially concerned about the impact to their unit during the project. Their concerns were addressed immediately, and they were informed that there would be little to not impact to their units, and there was not. The project was completed on time (Guardian had 15 roofers/workmen dedicated to the job, not including the project manager who was on site both days to address any questions or concerns). Pics where shared throughout the process; in fact, we received 30 pics from start to finish that showed every step of the process, including live video of work being done. After completion, the crew cleaned up debris and bricks around and inside our building. No signs of construction could be detected. We were very pleased with the level of professionalism demonstrated by Guardian throughout the process. Con: We were concerned about the debris flying off the top of the building during the initial tear off phase of the project, that included a few loose bricks from the chimney. The workers were hurling debris into the dumpsters below. This was unsettling for residents at home during this process. We should have been told prior to work commencing, to stay clear of back entrances and exits during the tear off process. We were only told to refrain from using our rear parking lot to accommodate dumpsters. Otherwise, we highly recommend Guardian Roofing Systems for your roofing project. "We just had our roof replaced by Berg, and the crew did a fantastic job. Complete tear-off of the old roof, some decking replaced, all new flashing, new vents, new attic fan. Professional crew, clean-up was thorough. Nick was our representative, he oversaw the entire project and kept us informed of what the crew was doing. "I will try to keep this short. I have waited weeks till I had time to completely digest the events. I am retired, skilled and experienced in the trades plus I have many decades as a skilled and US Gov. licensed technician and inspector. The ONLY thing that kept this from being a D were the two guys nailing down the shingles. I watched them like an FAA inspector. They aligned each shingle before nailing it x5. The "roof" looks good but not my driveway. I was up on the roof the entire time with the "good crew." I saw ALL their flaws and was shocked. I wish I could post the photos I took. My drive was now has approximately 30 feet of grooves cut into it by the carpenter of this crew. He was cutting plywood for repairs and just laid the wood flat on my drive way and cut away with his skill saw. Well the skill saw went through the wood right into my drive way. I showed the Project Manager and he said "well when you reseal the drive way it will cover up the all the cuts." This same designated crew carpenter cut plywood repairs either way to small and left 1/2" to 3/4" gaps or to big. If they were to big he just beat on the plywood or jumped up and down on it till it went in. This was done to the GREAT amusement of other crew members. This same Crew Carpenter "tried" to drive a 8 Common Nail but it dent over. Instead of pulling the bent over nail out he just hammered in so laid horizontally smashed into the plywood. In front of the crew I dug it out and put in a nail correctly. They cut shingles on newly laid Ice Barrier material cutting the barrier. I mentioned this to the Project Manager and he said " the shingles will cover it." Ice Barrier is self sticking. One section had waves in it. I brought this to the Crew Lead and he said they will just cut the width of the Ice Barrier to get it to lay flat. So much for the Ice Barriers integrity. One of the guys just threw the styrofoam chutes vents in the attic between the roof rafters. The chutes say right on them staple. None of mine were stapled or pushed down into the eaves correctly. I corrected all of them myself. The project Manager was going to I subtract for my time spent. I said no thanks. My brown Valley W Channel was dented and scratched up. One 3" dent came close to going through the this metal. I again mentioned this to the Project Manager and he said it probable happened by dragging stuff over the installed Valley W Channel. For brevity these are only some of the problems/issues. The Project "only" said sorry when I handed him the final $10,000.00 check. I did speak to a manager and salesman from Infinity. They fixed stuff and offered to replace the dented and scratched W Valley Channel. I declined because it would require disturbing a good number of fresh/new shingles. For the many cuts in my driveway they offered $300 off the bill. We told them to donate the $300 to a local private animal shelter and do it in our name. It you use this company you or somebody knowledgeable in this type work oversee EVERYTHING ALL the time. The clean up guy worked hard for 12 hours picking up all the old stuff as it came off the roof."
