"Contractor did a very professional job.  He accepted the job, when other contractors either didn't want to waste their time with it, or wanted us to wait 6 months or more for them to do the work, and charged a fraction of the fee all the other contractors wanted to charge for the job.  Great guy, and we will definitely use him in the future. <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"We had an absolutely excellent experience with Water Works. We started having a water softener leak on New Year's Day in the late evening. We called, left a message and received a call back within 20 minutes from the answering service letting us know that a plumber would call us the next morning at 11am. The 11am call came on time as promised and informed us that we could expect a plumber between 11:30 and 12pm. Dan Feduke was our plumber. He came to our home within the given timeframe and was able to fix the problem with no issues. He was professional, knowledgable, and very efficient. It took less than an hour for the entire issue to be fixed! We will certainly be using Water Works for any future plumbing needs we have and would recommend them highly!"

"I was frustrated that they didn't cover our garbage disposal and they didn't cover the thermostat, otherwise everything we did there was great. I didn't have any problems. It's $50 a month, and then everything is covered. You don't have to pay for people to come out. When our hot water heater broke, we had to pay for the new water heater, but that just for the actual thing, not anything else like the service or installation."

"I was so impressed with everyone I worked with from start to finish. Earlier this year we had someone come and do a patch job on our roof which was in awful condition - they didn't try to sell me a new roof, encouraged us to get by for as long as we could and were upfront about what they were doing, how much it would cost and how bad our roof really was. We finally took the plunge after some bad leaks and had Jim come out and give us an estimate, he explained everything in detail and gave us a phenomenal price. When the crew came over to do the job I was amazed - they were so efficient and quick!! David, Miguel and Teamo kept us updated every step of the way and ray delivered some not so great news like a pro. We've recommended these guys to everyone we know - they are trustworthy, fast, and do amazing quality work. You will not regret your decision to hire these guys to do a job."

"We have used E and V for our oil delivery and cleaning for the past 4 years or so, and the people who have come to our house have consistently been great. They are knowledgeable and nice, always working to help us save some money and keep our old furnace alive for one more season. When our furnace finally failed, we didn't hesitate to ask them to install our new one, and we are glad we did. A representative came to the house, consulted with us, took lots of measurements and stats to help figure out what size and type of furnace would be best for our house, and really took his time with us. He helped with financing, it was just an easy and pleasant experience. The team that came to install the furnace was top notch; they finished the whole project by early afternoon, and left the space totally clean, better than it was when they arrived! They took the time to explain how best to use the new thermostat, and walked us through all the work that they had done. A week or so later, I got a nice letter and gift from the president of E and V thanking us for giving them our business. A small gesture, but it somehow meant a lot. I didn't think companies like this existed anymore! Old fashioned customer service from people who really know their jobs and genuinely care about keeping you warm and saving you money. What a great organization. Thanks E and V!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Dryden, NY

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
