"We recently had Rolland Cement do our stamped concrete pool deck and some driveway/sidewalk tear out and replacement. Rolland did our stamped concrete patio a couple years ago and it was awesome so we wanted to match it at the pool. Greg and his crew did not disappoint and the job came out exactly how we hoped. We would highly recommend Rolland Cement for any of your concrete needs."

"The leveling went okay. Back in September of 2018 I requested that the crack along the wall be caulked. They didn't come out for several weeks and I cancelled. I hired another company to do the caulking. Now seven months later I receive an invoice for work they just did. Come to find out they use subcontractors to do the caulking and they just gave them the work order, seven months later and the subcontractor ripped out what was done back in October and re-caulked."

"We thought we needed foundation work. They not only told us that was incorrect. They directed us to a structural engineer who would be able to help us. No charge. Most appreciated."

"We met a few times before anything occurred. He came to property in Late summer and took measurements and looked at the 'lay of the land' and we talked about what we wanted done overall. About a week later he called back and gave me an estimate on what it would cost.   The following spring we had him come back and firm up price as we wanted to move forward.  He came out again, re-measured. re-estimated cost, etc.  He gave me same price for labor, told me I would have to provide any new materials and gave me a few local suppliers to contact for the supplies.  Said I didn't have to use them but he had worked with these suppliers and they knew him, etc.  I went and got pricing for some new concrete blocks and they were purchased from one of his recommended suppliers.  they were delivered within a few days and I had everything to get the job started.  The stuff sat in my driveway for a week before he was able to come out and begin.  In fairness, he ran into an issue with tearing down the existing wall and needed to call in a friend with a bobcat to rip out some sort of water barrier that was installed improperly.  Once that was done (took about 2 weeks) he started building it up again.  This was a much slower process than I was led to believe- he had originally told me it would be maybe a week total.  It ended up taking almost a month.  A lot of days he just did not show up for whatever reason.  He would be out one day, skip a few days, then come out one day, skip a few more days, etc.  If he would have been out every day to work on it he probably would have been done in a week as he estimated.   <br /> He works by himself, this is a one-man operation and he has no heavy equipment, no truck and no other employees, so if there were ever any need to get supplies, or haul away debris, I needed to do that, which i did a few times. I had to order the new blocks, gravel and other landscaping material and have that delivered.  I also had to pay another local landscaping service to come out and haul away the old landscaping debris that he had pulled out with the Bobcat as he had no way of hauling it away himself.  So that tacked on another $200 or so to the overall cost.   He DID have a friend with a truck that he used to initially come out and haul away the old landscape block though. the same guy came out with the bobcat later on in the project. <br /> After completion, i had a LOT of leftover materials- almost 25% of the original block I ordered were unused.  Seems that the supplier mis-estimated the amount of block he would need.  They ended up coming out and picking it up and giving me a refund though, so that was nice. <br /> The work itself was good quality.  He did a great job and the wall is structurally sound and looks great. I had to call him back after a week or so as I found a few loose blocks on the top of the wall that had not been glued securely and he came out to fix those.  He told me to call him again If i found others and he would come out when he could to adhere them since he carried that product around with him.  I did find more that were loose but I called and never heard back from him, so i just went out and bought some of the adhesive and glued them myself.  It wasn't that big of a deal, i was a bit surprised I didn't hear back though. <br /> I would use this guy again If I had SMALL projects.  I almost think this project was a bit too big for him since he had no truck or equipment to haul or deliver heavy supplies and had to rely on a friend with a truck and equipment when needed. <br />"

"No salesman called on us. The owner of the company, J P Simon came and explained what was necessary to fix the problem. No dog and pony slide show on a laptop. Just an explanation we could understand. When the job was started his crew was professional, courteous, and friendly. His foreman, Dale, went out is his way to keep inconveniences for us to a minimum. J P was always available to answer questions or concerns we might have. When the job was finished it looked great (can be seen on his website). The second day after completion we had a heavy storm and there was not a drop of water anywhere in the basement. We would HIGHLY recommend Warm and Dry."

"They did a wonderful job. They were prompt, clean, and professional. They even provided us with additional repair recommendations and quotes for our chimney without being pushy. Will be calling them in the future. <br />"

"I am very, very pleased. Mitch worked with me to keep my cost down and allowed a number of choices for me to do so. The job was done very quickly and the team was a group of very polite and hardworking men who are very good at what they do. Mitch is thorough and when two of the paving stones cracked, he came back and personally reset the new ones. Mitch also provided me advise for how I can improve the path next year. I would not hesitate to hire him again and will recommend his crew to others."

"Gary was on top of the job from start to finish. I've never seen someone who sweats the details the way he did. That's good because I learned that pouring a concrete driveway isn't simple. There are many important steps that go into good design in order to have a driveway that drains properly, looks great and can stand up to weather. We got all of that with Gary. His work was outstanding and we now have a beautiful new driveway that has increased the value of our home. It was a major investment but I wouldn't try to save money and risk getting some shoddy work from the lowest bidder. Gary is someone you can trust to give you a fair price and do the job right."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Dundee, MI

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
