"rate 5 stars. Danny was professional all through the process and he was very easy to communicate and schedule with via text message. He walked my project within a few days of our initial conversation. his pricing was very reasonable and he worked with our schedule for work comoletion. Come work day, the weather required a reschedule but Danny communicated this need promptly and rescheduling was easy and convenient. Typically, we as consumers are forced to choose 2 of these 3 options (1) quality (2) economical price and (3) quick completion. Danny's lawn care was an exception because he provided all three."

"The team at J&D Tree Pro's were curtious, proffesional, and prompt. I would recommend them if you need to have any tree removal performed. They were able to get two tree's that fell in my yard within 24 hours. They also cleaned up the debris that had fallen due to the storm."

"Randy and his outstanding team did an amazing job not only when installing the paver walkway, but helping guide us with ideas and suggestions. Because the area gets so much shade and grass has a hard time growing, decided to use high quality artificial grass. His installers are some of the nicest and hardest workers, and they take great pride in what they do. Without reservation, will use again, and recommend to those who are interested in top notch work."

"They came out and gave an estimate and a week later they were cleaning up our yard. We have large mulch beds; blueberry and black berry gardens and flower beds which all needed weeding. They did a great job pulling only the weeds. They also redefined some mulch beds. They were on time, did everything as we had previously discussed. They started work at 8AM and finished at 4:30. The worked non-stop except for a lunch break. They hauled away all of the yard waste. Our yard looks amazing! Even our kids were amazed by how much they were able to do in a day. We would hire them again!"

"Their cost is pretty good. When we were looking at companies that kind of spray for we had a lot of trees and stuff in the backyard. We were trying to find something that could control the mosquito population, and they were using natural stuff. It wasn't so harsh to the environment, and they were the one of the only ones in our research that offered that service and chemicals were mild. They also did a termite inspection and stuff, so we really discontinued the contract with the termite service and realized that they offered the other services for the other things. They put in dehydration systems in houses to control moisture levels which could potentially lead to mildew and stuff like that."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Durham, NC

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
