"The porch and fence look wonderful. Neighbors were honking and giving Joe, Josie and Nellie a thumbs up while they were working on the porch and fence. Lots of compliments from friends and neighbors. In fact, my neighbor liked Jose’s skills so much that he hired Jose to do his fence on the spot. Jose, his daughters and wife are perfectionists and do the job right or they will redo it until you approve. They also fix whatever needs fixing such as rotten fence planks or loose planks so that the fence looks like new and will last many more years. They have a great work ethic and know volumes about paint and stain. They are a fantastic team and a pleasure to work with. I think so highly of their work that I have hired them do two other painting projects."

"Dave's Painting & Drywall pressure washed my house, had to do extensive scrapping on the south and west facing walls due my 12-year-old paint job peeling from sun exposure on the 12 year old stain job I had (there was minimal scrapping on the other walls because they weren't subject to near as intense of sun exposure), primed the exposed wood, and then applied two coats of paint on the body and trim of my house and newly built shed.  Due to the rainy weather of the past several weeks it took awhile to complete the job but they worked with me on scheduling since I have two dogs that normally have free access to the backyard and the one time they did not show when originally anticipated the owner came by to personally explain what happened and apologize for the inconvenience and was able to get workers out within an hour or so.
While what I paid was a little higher than some of the quotes I got from other contractors it wasn't out of the ballpark and based on the amount of prep work they performed and the quality of their work I think the little extra was well worth it.  As a neighbor of mine, who painted his house himself this summer, said "If I knew you could find contractors that would do that quality of a job and put that much effort into the prep work these days I'd have hired them to do my house."
