"My 70 year old bathtub looks brand new and I am so pleased! Chris and Masum did a fabulous job...they were helpful, courteous and professional. They answered every question I had, and cleaned up my bathroom very well. Munro staff, Joanne and Diane, very friendly and gave me instant quote directly over the phone. I would definitely recommend Munro if you want a new and affordable tub and or tile!"

"They were super clean, covering the countertops and where they cut the tiles on the floor or outside. Every tile is placed perfectly even the tiny pieces even though it's an irregular tile (handmade lookalike). The outer edges are all clean and neat, and they helped me with pros and cons where we had different options, and looked to maximize the tile and look of the project. I had 3 other quotes for my project and picked DB for professional knowledge and price. Would definitely hire again."

"Extremely pleased with the oak hardwood flooring installed by Holliday Home Flooring LLC . Brandon Holliday and his apprentice Jayden were professional, prompt, courteous, Brandon explained each day what we could expect to be done . The job was well planned out and completed on time . Concerns along the way were fully discussed before progressing . At the end of each day the work site was totally cleaned up and ready for the next morning. Upon completion of the floor install they helped us install felt pads under all furniture and place back in room . Brandon is listed with the BBB, Licensed & Insured. We were very comfortable with the payment setup as well . Percentage down at the start of the job, percentage due half way through the job, and then upon completion balance due . We highly recommend Holliday Home and Flooring ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"I was thoroughly impressed with Jim and his service. He was able to come out and give me a free estimate for the work. I agreed to it and he came back a few days later to perform the service. <br /> He spent approximately 5 hours and was very reasonably priced. He did a great job replacing the holes in the wall and texturing the wall. Can't even tell it was repaired. <br /> He was very professional, even putting down plastic and hanging plastic from the ceiling while working. There was no mess to clean up after him. <br /> I was also very impressed that he went to Home Depot to get the floor molding that I needed and actually showed me the receipt to bill me for it. Most companies would charge a 50% markup and just include that cost in the service charge, but Jim didn't do that. I gave him an extra 20% on the home depot receipt just because I felt bad that he wasn't making any money off of it. <br /> Jim did a phenomenal job and we would use him again in a heartbeat. <br />"

"John came to my house and quoted me for installation of approximately 250sq feet of LVP flooring in my mudroom. The price was just right and performed the job flawlessly, fast and was extremely clean. He also prepared the floor by leveling some spots that had been uneven, upon his recommendation and explained the entire process throughly. I will undoubtedly be calling him for all my future floor projects with hesitation!"

FAQs for tile: ceramic and porcelain repair projects in East Aurora, NY

People use the terms refinishing, resurfacing, and reglazing interchangeably. Refinishing is a process that repairs old tiles and gives them a fresh new coat of finish. This is also called tile resurfacing or reglazing.

Yes, you can refinish tiles as a DIY project, but it’s important to follow all the steps involved. These include the following:

  1. Clean the tiles or hire a local tile cleaning service to remove all the residue (soap film, oil, grease, and dirt).

  2. Etch the tile to ensure the refinishing solution adheres properly.

  3. Fill in any cracks or chips in the tile.

  4. Recoat the grout.

  5. Repair any missing or damaged caulking where applicable.

  6. Apply the refinishing product, primer, and enamel.

Your newly reglazed tile should last between 10 and 15 years with proper installation. However, higher-traffic areas and moisture may result in a reduced life span. Explore the cost of different tile types to determine which material works best for your home and needs.

Your bathtub and tile refinishing cost will likely seem like a small price to pay for the transformation it offers. Provided your tile and grout are both intact, refinishing will bring a brand-new style at a fraction of the cost.

Yes, most ceramic tile is paintable with specific epoxy or tile paints. However, you’ll want to avoid areas of heavy use or moisture, such as countertops, showers, and bathtubs. Paint can crack, bubble, or wear away over time, especially on floors.
