"It is hard for me to believe that we are A&E Tree's first Angie's List Review!  What an honor.  These guys did a fantastic job trimming and pruning our overgrown trees.  They have all the equipment you can imagine.  Erik and his crew were amazing, very friendly and polite.  They were very clean and despite all their hard work, they were phenomenal on the cleanup.  This was a major concern for us as we had seen many other tree services contractors in for the quick buck and left a mess.  The pricing was very competitive.  I would recommend A&# tree for all your tree trimming and tree removal / stump removal without hesitation.

"It went very well. Alan came out on Monday and gave us a quote. We asked for just a line of trees to be removed but he said he could do the whole back lot (we have many bushes and dead limbs back there as well). On Tuesday his team was great and finished in less than 4 hours. They did a fantastic job and they were very sweet to let my kids watch and enjoy. "I called James towards evening. He answered the phone and he and his wife came by on their way home from Smithville. Gave me a fair bid on the spot and promised to be at my house the following Thursday at 9 AM. The crew came promptly at 9 AM as promised and worked until 9:30 PM to remove a 3 huge trees that were growing close to the house. They didn't even touch a couple of smaller trees that were growing close by or get too close to the house. Everything (branches, trunks, leaves, etc.) was removed and cleaned up before they left for the day. The next day, James came back and ground out the stumps. They left the shavings for me to use as compost, as asked. I was concerned about the workers leaving gates open as I have 2 dogs that like to break out whenever possible but the crew was very careful about that. I would definitely hire them back again.

"We had Clarke Tree Service trim 3 large trees that were badly in need of it.  They showed up on time and performed the work in a very professional manner.  Their cleanup was very thorough.  They left nothing behind and even refilled our wood pile with some of the dead wood they trimmed (and cut down to fireplace size).
The only B grades were for scheduling the estimate (it took 2 phone calls) and they underbid our job by about $200.  We thought the bid was quite low compared to other bids we obtained so we were not really surprised when they asked us to increase the cost.  Had it been for more than $200 or so we may have complained, but it wasn't and we felt it was underbid a little.  Even with the additional cost it was still the lowest bid from a reputable company that we obtained.
