"My dryer vent was cleaned thoroughly and is no longer at risk for a dryer fire. I will not use the company again because they left all the lint they evacuated right where it fell: what a mess!!! Pros: The technician arrived on time and set about the arduous process of locating the dryer vent termination. This was a bit of an undertaking. I even had to find some pictures of the interior of my chimney when at one point we believed it might terminate there (yes, that would have been some bad news.) With my permission and encouragement he cut 3 holes in my drywall to follow the tube and we found the termination in the attic. The technician then cleaned the dyer vent tubing and cut additional holes to remove some blockages. The technician provided excellent feedback on two ways to improve my dryer venting: relocate the termination to the roof (he showed me the correct vent I should have a contractor install for me). Lastly, he suggested a better, yet more complicated option a contractor could also do for me but that would ensure ease of cleaning and best dryer functionality. I appreciated all of this feedback and the technician's diligence through the process. Cons: As he was leaving the technician apologized for leaving a mess. He even joked how he once received a bad review for leaving a mess, saying, this is a messy process. Well, I assumed he mean the drywall dust from cutting the wall and any random lint that he couldn't pick up... I mean, this is messy. I get that. I was completely unprepared for what I found. Basically, the technician left all the dryer lint he evacuated exactly where it fell with the minor exception being the large wad of lint he put in a tiny trashcan I keep in my laundry room. He could have asked for a trash bag, a vacuum, a broom, or anything he would have needed to not leave every single bit of lint behind. I am flabbergasted. I've never had a contractor in my home who didn't clean their mess. No, I don't expect it cleaned spotlessly, but a cursory effort to remove the worst of of it would have gone a long way. I will not use this company again. Cost breakdown: $150 to clean the dryer vent; $50 additional for cutting the holes in drywall and working to located the tubing"
