"I Had a driveway, a year and a half ago installed. It is still solid and in great shape. Tony and his daughter came out recently and steel coated it. Tony and his daughter came out the other day and straightened out some edges for free. Amazing family company and stands by their work. I Highly recommend this company for your next paving project. If considering a paving company. Blacktop has over 50 years in the business."

"This company resurfaced my driveway which was completely repaved by another service only 5 years ago. The previous work did not hold up so I chose to resurface using JHR. What a beautiful job they did…they removed a portion of the driveway, addressed the cracks and filled in a very large hole which had developed. I am completely satisfied with the work and received a fair price. It was worth waiting to get on their schedule….next year they will seal the driveway…great company to work with."

"The driveway looks great. The reason for the "B" rating on punctuality is mainly due to the weather delay. Vincent mentioned he does driveways in our area on a certain day of the week. We were delayed a week due to rain, but we thought it should have been done as soon after the rain as possible."

"Bob answered the phone very quickly and asked for my address so he could measure the driveway and give me an accurate quote. 2 days later Bob quoted me a great price ($50 less than 2 other quotes). He arrived on time and took his time in doing a good job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs their driveway sealed."

"Richard called back within minutes of my message and he came out the same day for a free estimate. He was very polite. I was getting three quotes and they were the first. After I did my due diligence in getting the quotes and negotiating prices, I decided to hire Richard. The job took one and a half days. They showed up when they said they were going to and did what they said they were going to do. The driveway had two layers of asphalt that they had to remove. Using what looked like a mini bull dozer, they broke up the old driveway and took all of it away. They then brought the dump truck full of stones and re-graded the area using two machines and two men with heavy rakes. One was some sort of paving machine and the other was a mini steam roller. Then they left and came back with hot asphalt, a mixture that they told me was 600 degrees Fahrenheit. They used the paving machine and the mini steam roller to spread and even out the mixture, along with the two men with heavy rakes. I was very impressed with their work and their work ethic, as this is very difficult and hard work. I would definitely hire them again."

FAQs for asphalt sealing projects in Easton, PA

If you live in a mild climate, you may only need to seal the surface every three years. If you live in extreme heat or cold, you should seal your driveway every other year to protect it from sun or winter weather damage. Consider the frequency of sealing a driveway when purchasing a home in an area with extreme weather.

Sealing your driveway between spring and fall in optimal warm and dry weather conditions maximizes its protection and extends its lifespan. Moderate temperatures allow the sealant to bond properly with the asphalt surface, ensuring a durable seal. Avoid sealing during extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow, as these conditions can prevent the sealant from curing correctly.

An asphalt filler sealer is a product that fills cracks while simultaneously sealing the asphalt surface, providing comprehensive protection in one application. It's ideal for repairing minor damage and preventing future issues. When selecting the best asphalt filler sealer, consider factors such as drying time, durability, environmental impact, and compatibility with your existing asphalt. Choose a high-quality product that fits your budget and meets your driveway's specific needs to ensure long-lasting results.

Maintaining your coated blacktop is essential for its longevity. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year using a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove dirt, debris, and stains. Reseal the surface when required, every two to three years, to keep it protected. Avoid parking on a newly sealed driveway for at least two weeks. Prevent oil and gas spills, and promptly repair cracks or damage to prevent them from worsening. Removing snow and ice promptly can also protect your asphalt from freeze-thaw damage.

Preventing cracks in your driveway starts with regular maintenance. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year to remove debris and identify any budding issues. Seal your driveway every two to three years to protect it from water infiltration, UV damage, and wear from traffic. Promptly repair any small cracks to prevent them from expanding. Avoid parking heavy vehicles on the edges of your driveway and ensure proper drainage to reduce stress on the asphalt or concrete. These proactive steps help maintain the integrity of your driveway and extend its lifespan.

Absolutely. You don't need to be restricted to the standard blacktop asphalt. These days, you can find this material in exciting colors like brown, white, green, brick, terracotta, and more. If you have a color in mind, shop around to find the option that suits your vision for your asphalt driveway.
