"They were excellent. They arrived early in the morning, tore off the old roof, made repairs to some of the boards on the roof and did excellent prep for the shingles. They had five or six men working, who were all considerate, and a couple of them continued to clean up between different stages of the job. The owner of the company was there the whole day and provided oversite and was very approachable for my questions. They installed a third static vent in my roof free of charge, and I noticed that my second floor seemed cooler that night. They straightened my gutters and did top quality work from start to finish. They also finished the job in one work day and cleaned up very thoroughly. I am completely satisfied and give my highest recommendation for Rodeffer Roofing."

"My wife and I want to THANK everyone at Clemens Home Solutions for doing a FABULOUS job on our new roof, gutters and fascia/soffits. Josh, the estimator, was incredible and was the only estimator (out of 3) that found significant structural issues in the roof support structure. If he hadn’t had a keen eye for detail, we would have had severe issues either now, or in the not too distant future. Nathan and Abel’s crew was amazing and did an awesome job with the roof tear down and installation. They spent a considerable amount of time cleaning up afterwards and ensuring there was almost no debris left behind. Mike and Danny's crew did a great job on the fascia and soffits. Ivan and Sam followed up with the gorgeous black gutters. We can’t say enough about Macee in Customer Care - who is the reason we heard about Clemens - she was on top of things start to finish. Clemens’ Crew stayed in touch throughout the process and kept us informed of materials ordered, schedule changes due to inclement weather and projected completion timeline. I had one minor issue and that was with an added dryer vent. Nathan was out the next business day and fixed it, no questions asked. Across the board, everyone at CLEMENS was laser-focused on CUTOMER CARE - a valuable commodity, often lacking, in this day and age. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the workmanship and professionalism of Clemens Home Solutions."

"Work went smooth, took two days due to drying. One repair required more work than anticipated due to matt not being able to view it during the assessment for the quote. Both repairs look excellent and would definitely recommend."

"The roof replacement was fine, but he didn't seal/paint the soffit. This caused a delay in the completion of the repairs I need to complete for an appraiser to sign off on the sale of the house, which caused a delay in the close date. Punctuality and professionalism. <br />"

"We had a very large project of roofing, siding and gutters replaced on our house, garage & shed. and all was handled in a very timely matter going beyond what was quoted with fixing some unseen damages without the extra cost to us. Dealing with the people was a great experience from our first call to the office to get an estimator out to the project manager and the crews doing the job. Work was professional done correctly with everything cleaned up nice at completion. No complaints at all on our experience"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Economy, IN

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
