"After a bad experience with another company, I called Robbie at Southern Pavers, based on a recommendation from someone else. He came out within 30 minutes, as I had a 1/2 off work and that was the only time I could meet with him. I had the estimate within an hour of him leaving my home. <br /> My old patio had very cool old bricks with the name of where they were made pressed into the sides. I felt pretty strongly about using them in the design on the new patio, but this idea had been torn down by two other companies. When Robbie came out, he said they could definitely include the bricks, and just warned me that the pavers would compliment, but not match perfectly, with the existing materials. That was fine with me. <br /> When I signed the contract, I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to start the patio, as the pavers had to be ordered and weather can slow down other projects. They kept me up to date on when my project would start and it fell right in the original 2-3 week window. The work itself took 4 days, as halfway through we got hit by rainstorms, which stopped work for a day and a half. His team came out on Saturday to finish up the project, though. <br /> The patio looks fabulous and I am so happy they were able to incorporate the bricks, as it adds character. I left everything up to Robbie in terms of color of the pavers and pattern to lay them in. Everything turned out wonderful, and I am glad I trusted his judgement. <br /> My patio area was a bit of a mess with roots, stumps, and old gate posts. They pulled out all the roots and created a curved flower bed area around a stump and fence post that were not able to be removed. It looks like it was part of the original design instead of something that had to be created on the spot. <br /> His team were polite, courteous, and cleaned up behind themselves when they left. They showed up for work on time each day and took few breaks. They even replaced a couple of broken stepping stones in another area of the yard, as I was unable to lift the new stones. <br /> I would 100% recommend them. The price was reasonable, the work excellent, and they stayed in communication with me through the whole process. Robbie called halfway through to make sure everything was going well and then again at the completion of the project to ensure I was happy. This company was great to work with. <br />"

"There was a 2-3 week delay in getting the windows for the enclosed patio but no fault of Porch Masters. <br /> In fact they got us a $500 reduction for the delay. Last June I called for some small additional work on the porch & they responded immediately. It should be noted that they provided many references prior to the job. I called on 3 who were all very happy with their work. My wife & I are very happy with the total experience & are glad to give this excellent review."

"Excellent and TRUE test of a contractor experience I had a larger construction job - drain fields - being renovated but that company didn't do irrigation systems. I needed TradeWinds to show up on a specific day, on short notice and execute the job to install an irrigation system and sod. That part went very well - but the true test was that there were complications later that needed to be addressed. I called - they responded and remedied the issues. ANY company can sell you a service once - but not all of them come back when you need a little help/service after the sale. GREAT follow up. THANKS."

"Fantastic! You would hardly ever know that the patch wasn't part of the original wall. The workers were timely, incredibly hardworking, efficient, and skilled. We thought the project would take several days, but they finished it in just one day! We couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. <br />"

"I highly recommend Alex at Scottish Stonecraft. He went above and beyond the call of duty repairing our Carriage House wall as well as tuckpointed an entire shared brick wall that divides our courtyard from our neighbor's courtyard--it was a bit of a challenge with our neighbor but Alex charmed him and we got the necessary work done. Both walls look so much better and most importantly, Alex was responsive and dependable."

"I contacted Jody to let him know the deck he built for us about 3 summers ago needed to be repainted. He let me know he had other jobs but would get back to us as soon as he could. A week or so later he notified me they (meaning him and his crew I thought.) would be over on Tuesday to start the job. When he came he brought a sub-contractor he used for painting jobs and the sub-contractor gave the deck a good clean, then said he would return the next day around 10:00 am as he had another job to go to first. The next day the sub-contractor did not show when expected and I texted Jody that he was not here as promised. Jody asked what time the sub-contractor was due and I told him 10AM. Well, it was almost 2pm before anyone showed up and the sub-contrator brought 2 helper with him. He showed them what to do and then left. They were to do a double coat on the entire deck. When they were ready to leave they said they did paint the deck itself several times as it dried, but only one coat on the railing and post as that was all that was needed. Herein is where my first problem came in that I was paying for 2 coats on the entire deck, and in my opinion when one says a double coat.. it doesn't mean going over where they painted a second time as they are still painting the first coat. A second coat means.... painting the entire deck... then repeat. Well, they splashed paint onto the house and left areas in between the deck boards undone, and got paint on the brick patio as well. The sub contractor was suppose to come back, but in the late AM Jody came by to supposedly finish the job. He looked it over, and left...then latter the sub-contractor came back and had another helper this time. They washed the paint off the house, and painted in between the boards and did a decent job. In the end the deck looks good, but we were not satisfied with the overall service and the price was too high. He doubled the price since we wanted 2 coat, even though it really took no more time. And they failed to do a second coat on the railings and post. He charged us $700 in labor and $190 for the paint. In our opinion he should have only charged about $700 at the most for the entire deck as that is what his sub-contractor told us he thought. He has yet to ever come and check the final job... This was the last time he will be asked to do any work for us."

"I have used them a couple of times. They are real good. It was a small job and he did it himself and didn’t have his crew come in. I used him to put a roof on my house a couple of years ago, and he was real responsive then and was there when I called him for whatever. If I had any questions, he was there to answer them and stuff like that. He was on time and everything and got it done at the price he said. So, there were no surprises in that. The price was right on the nose and it was whatever he said it was going to cost. If something else came up, he just did it without asking me if it would be paid for. So I am real pleased with him."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Eden, GA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
