"This is the third time I have hired Peter Larkin, and he did not disappoint! Just before leaving on a vacation of several weeks to the West, my tenant informed me that she is 20 weeks pregnant. I was certain that the 1900s 2 BR 1 BA condo we were renting to the couple had lead in it, so I obtained a lead inspection from ASAP Environmental (also excellent) and found that there was a small amount of lead in the kitchen windowsill and 2 doorjambs that needed removal. In the building common areas, there was also a small amount of lead in the basement doorjamb and wainscoting touch-up needed in the stairwell. Despite recently having experienced a death in his family, Peter was able to get our job completely done (lead paint removal and repainting), re-inspected, and in full compliance prior to my tenant's return. "You asked "would I hire them again?" The answer is yes, but the idea is I won't need to use them again. Their product is a ceramic based paint that lasts longer than regular paint. My wife and I plan on selling in 15 years or less and we expect we will never have to paint again. It's been 18 months since the job was done and it still looks good. One thing you'll notice is they take more time to prepare the house. (I uploaded a photo to show the extent of the prep work.) Another thing to be aware of is it costs more than a regular paint job, but I had been painting the back of our house every 4 years, so it works out that in less than 10 years I will have saved money overall, plus heir jobs come with a warranty. "We live in a relatively small house and we hired James Bergeron to paint while we were away on a two week vacation as there was no way we could have painting done while we were there. When we arrived home, we could not believe how spectacular the house looked! James did an expert and professional job and we are very impressed. He painted every wall and ceiling in the entire house as well as the kitchen cabinets. We had to have the kitchen cabinet hinges refurbished as we could not find any replacement hinge but they had not arrived by the time we left.
