"Great price. Professional, and quality work. Dan and daughter Kayla painted my vaulted ceiling dark wood beams and trim. Also painted my built in wooden bookshelves and doors, and all wooden window sills plus an accent wall. Looks wonderful!! I would highly recommend him for your painting needs and will definitely use Dickson Painting for future projects. B Masters, Norman"

"Quick response to request for bid/quote and job was started within 2-weeks time and completed within proposed time-frame. Lionel and his helper did a great job painting our home's exterior and repairing and staining front and back porch stairs and decks. I would highly recommend Ricardo's company for any job you have from paint to various renovations."

"Stace was quick to reply and came out and gave me a quote for partial exterior painting of my house where paint had started to peel. Because of the weather and our schedules, he could not do the job right away but kept in touch with me which I really appreciated. He subcontracted someone else to replace an overhang panel that had water damage…he did a great job too. Once that was done, Stace scheduled to come out and did the painting. Great job! (scraped, primed bare wood areas, and repainted with matched paint (2-colors) from H.I.S.—previously I had used Sherwin Williams and had the name/formula but was more expensive! ) He said H.I.S was a good quality paint too. The only thing I would have liked is for him to have done two coats of paint instead of just one...the only reason for 4.5 rating and not a 5! I’m very particular about things but Stace was courteous, patient, and answered all my questions…very pleasant to work with. Thank you!"

"Was wonderful working with Todd and his crew. They brought me several paint samples so I could pick just the right colors! The crew showed up on time and did a great job of protecting the carpets and floors, and of cleaning up after themselves. I am very pleased with the results!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Edmond, OK

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
