"An exterior single paned window on my downstairs shop was broken in midwinter. I taped plastic over it but wanted it fixed promptly as rain was due. My phone call was answered by a real person who gave me an estimate and we made an appointment. The repair person showed up on time -- I didn't even have to be there, which was great because I work and it was freezing cold outside -- fixed the window and the bill was $2 under the estimate. They allowed me to pay by credit card over the phone which was nice (points!) <br /> I was happy with the quality of the work as well and would be happy to use them again. <br />"

"Garry called me and requested to come over to see the scope of the work. He showed up right on time for the appointment and after I showed him the broken pocket door and explaining that I wanted all the hardware to be replaced including the top track. He wanted to make sure about the quality of the top track I like him to buy, so gave him my specification that is to get an aluminium track and 3 wheel rollers, I was tired of spending money to repair every year. He called me the night before to make sure I will be home. He showed up on time to start the work. I told him here you are, I will be in my home office, when done just call me. So, took a little longer that I expected it, because of wall sheathing being plaster board, but when he called me and went to see the completed project, to my surprise, he had completed the job and just about ready to paint the access opening of the wall - which you need to open to replace the track. He charged me exactly what we verbally agreed and I was very happy that after so many years of search and work with so many handyman, I finally found a professional and honest person who respected the verbal contract and did not charge me more for the extra unexpected site issues. Garry has very good communication skills and keeps you updated with the schedules and appointments via cell phone. I will recommend him to anyone for a small or medium projects. All I can say "what a guy.""

"Landmark construction and energy crew executed a whole kitchen renovation for us, including custom cabinets, new floors, new countertops, electrical (sub panel with lights and switches), recessed lighting covering, plumbing fixtures, took down wall to expand the kitchen area by merging it to the living room space. The cost included all the materials for cabinets and countertops, backsplash tiles, new floors and the appliances. We are thrilled with our new kitchen! Charlie, Nir and the workers did an excellent work and while the whole job was completed in less than a month. You could see how hard they worked in order to keep the work moving so it will be done in that time period that they originally promised us. On top of that, they worked hard to get things to our requirements (i.e. to stain the cabinets, complete the paint etc…). We all were pleasant and satisfied to have them work at our house and mainly with Charlie (project manager) that was approachable and supportive when we had requests or problems. I must mention that on few times, we were bothered with some of the workers when they didn’t show up when they should, or worked more hours on the electricity panel. Clearly enough, it’s normal that you must have to handle a lot of problems when you decide on going for this type of project. The final cost was the same as we agreed with them at first, although we were sure that it will be increased due to some additional things that we did during the work and that were not included in the first estimate/agreement. Overall, we would give LANDMARK CONSTRUCTION AND ENERGY CREW Construction a strong recommendation!"

"<p>After several estimates from other painting contractors, Steve Humphreys came out and gave me his estimate. His was not the lowest quote; it  was within $200.00 of the others. He was however the most professional and the friendliest. He let me pick my preferred brand of pant. He explained in detail what his crew would first do to prep the house and garage, and even though he was not here when his crew of two men first showed up, they did exactly like he said they would. The men were dressed in neat, white painter's outfits; I mention this because not all painters these days ware the traditional white anymore. They worked not fast, but very methodically, which resulted in the job getting done fast--two days and about three hours. <br /> Their skillful craftsmanship nearly reached the level of artistry--the trim has clean lines, the windows are  spotless. <br /> I am 65 and have owned several homes, and this new paint job is the best I ever had. In fact Humphreys' crew will soon be painting the interior of my home.<br /> Side note: I had built a long and heavy and carpeted wooden ramp to the back porch for our senior dog. It is a high quality ramp, except the wood was not painted. I told the men they need not paint the ramp; it was temporary. Though they had to remove the ramp to paint the house.</p> At the end of the day I went outside to have a look at their work. To my surprise, they had removed the carpet (it was not tacked down)from the ramp and primed and painted the ramp, and then put it back into place. Now that's the "above-and-beyond" we consumers used to get in the olden days. <br /> Overall, my wife and I are exceedingly pleased with the quality of the job. Weather permitting, we some times sit outside with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and we just appreciate our new-looking home. <br />"
