"I needed a piece of furniture moved ASAP!!! I got a response and a quote from Devan at Haul Away Junk Removal in, literally minutes. I told him I needed the piece of furniture gone in less than an hour and he got it done!!! Someone had dumped it in front of my business entry and Devan came to the rescue. Would 150% recommend and hire again."

"The painter was very professional. He taped off the trim, removed (and replaced) the wall plates, and moved and put back all the furniture - that was a big help to me. I had bought the paint and tape, but I am sure that the company could have helped with that as well. 2 years later, the paint still looks great.

"1. someone came out and gave us an estimate estimate was for multiple coats of stain on a solid mahogany front door plus installation 2. Someone else came out to do work and said multiple coats of stain would be unnecessary and that the estimator must have under bid us, he would do one coat. He took apart our stone masonry beneath the exterior of the door to install. When he finished he reinstalled the sone masonry and put caulking between the stones, it oozed out, he left the remaining caulk with my wife and told her I could finish it after the caulking dried (fill up the space between the stones. All around it seemed poorly done. The door also was not evenly stained as it appeared it did need more than one coat but he only did one. 3. I called main office and they said they would send him back out. When he returned he was clearly frustrated to be there again. He did a quick job sanding and staining a second coat of stain. He also put more caulking between the stone masonry step. The door still is uneven and does not have a smooth finish: i believe another sanding and another coat of stain would be needed to complete the job. I'm simply not interested in having him back in my home to do it. I will likely hire someone else in a year or two to re-stain the door."

"I bought the $558 "Handyman for a day" coupon (the total cost above includes $72 that was needed to buy parts at Home Depot).
Travis showed up promptly at the agreed upon time and was friendly and professional. I outlined the list of work items, which included everything listed above as well as running speaker cables in the walls for 4 surround sound speakers and fixing a leaky sliding door. Travis had me explain all of the jobs, as well as telling him what the priority was in which I'd like them done.
The speaker wire job was going to be a tricky one, I suspected, since it involved running cables from the first floor up to the attic, across the attic, and then back down to the first floor. Travis stated that it may not be possible for him to do, but that he would take a look and see, since this was one of the higher priority items on the list. Unfortunately, he discovered that drilling would be required between the attic and the second floor in order to drop the cables back down through the wall. He was up front and honest that he didn't have experience doing that kind of work, and after calling his boss and explaining the job to him, they recommended that I get an electrician or a home theater expert to do that job.
Even with that off the list, Travis wasn't sure if he'd be able to do all of the items on the list. In particular, the leaky sliding door could be time consuming, since to do it properly would require him to do a "water test" of the few different trouble spots that he found during his examination of the door. Ideally he would want to test them each to determine where the actual problem was, and then do the repairs.
Ultimately, after 8 hours, he was able to do all of the jobs except for the leaky door and the surround cables. For the jobs that were performed, I am extremely satisfied with his work. He was friendly and professional for the entire day, and he did a good job communicating with me as needed about the requirements of each job. He cleaned up after himself in his work areas.
I shopped around before deciding on TD Services for this work. There were other places which offered cheaper rates, but the consistently high reviews are what made me go with TD Services. I figure it's senseless paying less for a job if that means you won't get the same guarantee of quality. Because of this, I've already scheduled for Travis to come back next week and take a few hours to work on the leaky door.
