"This was our second time using Adler Roofing due to hurricane repair. In the aftermath and with all of the homes needing repair they were fairly quick in responding to any questions. We had a minor issue with billing which was resolved with minimal effort. The tear down of the old roof was a little "rough" we had a lot of cleanup to complete on our own."

"The workers were terrific. The 16+ year solar pool panels were removed, the roofing job was done promptly by a large crew. Completely done in 2 days (no weather interruptions). Extra ridge vents and cobra vents installed. Price exactly as quoted. Cleanup was very well handled including blowing out gutters and downspouts, completely checking entire property for roofing nails. Arranged prompt Wind Mitigation report also."

"I have a 20 year old tile roof which hadn't been cleaned for a while as I was nervous about someone pressure washing and damaging my older, fragile roof tiles. I saw Mark's truck at another customer's house and noticed that he does a "soft-wash" on roofs using chemicals (and not high water pressure) to kill algae and clean your roof. I talked to him about his process and checked out his reviews and was satisfied, so I hired him to clean my roof. The results totally exceeded my expectations, I couldn't believe how clean my roof was. I've attached before and after pictures of my roof. Mark was conscientious, on time, and even helped me with a few other things that I needed done on the outside of my house. Highly recommended."

"They gave me a date to start the roof replacement and arrived by 8 am on the day promised. I have to say these are the hardest working men I have ever seen and they daily updated me on the progress and what was going to be done the next day. Many days they worked past the end of their working day to complete what they were working on to dry the roof in after that work day. They never left without cleaning up the property. Except for the dumpster, you would not even know they had been there that day. I would highly recommend them for any roofing job. What a pleasrue to do business with a company that does what they say they are going to do!"

"I just had my roof replaced from shingles to Metal panels. I decided to go with a new metal roof due to a longer life and Hurricane resistance. I contacted a couple of local metal roofers, and Triple Crown Roofing (813-715-4617). I went with Triple Crown due to their many years of experience with installing metal roofs, and their value-oriented pricing. I got the most bang for my buck with them.... a better roof for a lower price. Their workers were very hard-working and did a great job, The Crew-Leader Ramon was very knowledgeable, and assisted with repairing a "Dead Valley" area that had a previous leak. When it comes time for your shingle roof replacement (mine was 15 years old), I highly recommend that you go with a new metal roof installed by Triple Crown Roofing, Plus they have the longest workmanship guarantee -- 10 years."

"I have a fairly large roof (total size is 5000 square feet -- in roofing terms, that is 50 squares). The going rate for Angie's List A+ Contractors in Tampa appears to be between $290.00 to $340.00 per square. Good Neighbor charged $245.00, which brought the price to $12,250.00.  Prior to contracting with Good Neighbor, I got price quotes from five Angie's List A-rated providers.  All of them came in at $15-17K for the same project. <br /> Note that I had a problem area on my roof where three sections intersect and had been causing a leak in my den for months.  Good Neighbor came back on site after the first rain subsequent to the roof installation, because we detected that the leak issue persisted.  They put on additional sealant, underlayment, metal drip edge and flashing that ultimately eliminated this issue.  This was not a straightforward fix -- in the past, I had had two other roofers come out and try to fix it with no success.  Good Neighbor were on-site for almost an entire day addressing this issue to my satisfaction at no additional charge on the project. <br /> So, in all, Jim Fernandez and Good Neighbor Roofing, Inc. were the best price by far and provided very professional and excellent service.  My new roof looks great.  I highly recommend them for your roofing needs. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Ellenton, FL

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
