"We got a quote in August on the spot, for tree trimming. We accepted the bid, even after they said it wouldn't be until beginning of October before they could get to it. We heard good things about them, so figured we could wait. I called again at the end of November, (now that all the leaves are down and raked) They said for sure middle of December at the latest. Now this is MY SECOND call in January to find out where they were at. I thought I was the customer. REALLY, no call to say you are busy?? She proceeded to say I was rude, and, maybe I was. The tone of her voice said it all. VERY poor communication, and my guess, it comes directly from the person answering the phones. I guess I will never know how to rate them. After that comment, I hung up."

"Our 14 year old landscape/beds were weedy and overgrown. The previous owners finished the lawn 'in a pinch' and neglected to put any fabric down in the flower beds. Mulch rarely stayed where it was laid due to the wind we sometimes experience. Pro's Touch stripped the mulch, overgrown shrubs and plants, leaving the nicer ones and moving some to fill in open spots. Heavy fabric was laid down and river rock installed. The cost of landscaping hurts, but the Pro's Touch estimate was close to half of the other two we contacted. The workers were professional and friendly."

Plan to trim your palm once or twice a year. Most homeowners schedule the work in late spring—May is ideal—so dead fronds are gone before hurricane season hits. Brown fronds, dry leaves, flower pods, or visible storm damage are clear signs it’s time to call a pro. Staying on this schedule protects your property, reduces fire risk, and keeps the tree strong enough to handle summer storms.
A standard palm-trimming visit starts with a health inspection, followed by cutting away dead or overgrown fronds and, if requested, removing flower pods or fruit. Crews should remove all debris and leave the site clean and tidy. Some companies also inspect soil conditions and recommend treatments if they detect pests or nutrient deficiencies. Always confirm exactly what the service covers to avoid any surprise add-ons.
