"When I called James for an estimate to mow the yard, I was shocked that he quoted me $65! Because the quote was so low, I expected that he would just mow the yard. Our equipment wasn't working, so nothing had been done to the yard for several months; so I was embarrassed to even show him the entire lawn. <br /> I have an acre of land, and 1/3 of the yard was a few feet high. <br /> There are 2 houses, a double garage, carport, 4 storage buildings, and a four-stall barn on the property; along with a long driveway and lots of sidewalks/cement. Other items to be mowed around are a motor home, boat, and trailer; including a fence that separates the back 1/3 of the property. <br /> He came on the day promised, and the job was completed quickly. <br /> When he asked me to check to see if everything was acceptable, I couldn't believe my eyes! <br /> Not only did he mow, he weed-eated around EVERYTHING. He edged around all of the cement, clipped the hedges, and blew off everything, including the patio and carport. It looked amazing! <br /> For the work he performed, I would have expected to be charged around $100-$150. <br /> Because I was so impressed, I asked him for a quote to pull everything off the fences from the fence separating the two yards forward. <br /> The quote was $125. That was a great price as well. It hadn't been done in so long that you couldn't even see the fence for all of the weeds growing on the fences. <br /> On 6-12-2013, he came to do the fences and the entire yard again. Again, the work was spectacular! I don't think our yard has EVER looked so beautiful. I wish there was a way to share before/after photos because the results are so awesome. <br /> The next time he comes to do the yard, he will clean the fences on the back 1/3 of the property. <br /> James is very professional and courteous. <br /> My mom is 72 years old, and s always stressing over the yard. My mom is now so pleased? <br /> and believe me, this doesn't happen often...she complains about EVERYTHING! <br /> Thank you, Angie's List! And thank you, James."

"On the appointment day the tree-trimmers called to say they were on their way. When they got here, they were efficient and careful around wires the house and deck. They cleaned everything up before they left. My only problem was getting an office person who knew what they were doing. Finally, the head of the office called an made the appointment."

"They do our regular lawn care as well. We had a rough patch with them here and there but since we have been working with the owner and he has taken a personal interest in making sure things are taken care of the way they are suppose to. During the summer months they pretty much have you on a set schedule but in the winter months its a bit harder its like hit or miss as to when they will be out, but they still get out here to do the work."

"Salesman was courteous, knowledgeable, responsive, and not pushy. Office staff generally were as well. However, I had to request a copy of the agreement at least 6 times before they sent it--literally--which was odd b/c they were usually very polite about saying they'd send it right away. The first technician who was going to cut the bathtrap was wrong about needing a jigsaw, so it had to be put off. The second one came but hadn't brought it, so it had to be rescheduled...again. The one who ultimately did the bathtrap (I think it actually was the first guy) was pretty thorough, tidy and courteous. He should've been the one to do the main job--the trench outside. However, the tech who did the trench seemed to be in a big hurry and did a substandard job--trench was not as wide or nearly as deep (4-6 inches) as had been described--naturally, tons of run-off; he didn't take 5-10 minutes to clean up the grass he had pulled up to dig the trench; he didn't drill just the few holes in patio that needed to be drilled to bring it up to code until I brought it up (didn't drill in garage at all--and said that it's still up to code b/c it's different from patio--how should i know?); AND he didn't bother sealing the holes, replacing them w/ the old rubber plugs that were already there (from the treatment years ago) and leaving the opens one open. Will definitely pass on the retreatment contract . Seemed like an OK price though."
