"Cruz Home Painting crew was professional, courteous, friendly and proficient at their craft. Painting was outstanding, cleaned up every nights, stayed until complete. Punctual, asked us to inspect the finished job before asking for payment. Would definitely rehire or recommend to anyone. Could not have wished for a better trades person to take on this project."

"Rios Drywall did a fantastic job..We wanted our basement finished and he and his team came in and redid the entire thing in a professional manner VERY reasonable! They put up drywall, added a ceiling, professionally painted and added a vinyl tile flooring. We couldn't ask for more. We will use Miguel and his company for any future projects."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Elon, NC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
