20 EMPLOYEES. USES SUBS FOR LABOR & MATERIALS. COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. TRAVEL CHARGES APPLY. SERVICE FEES APPLY.

"In 2015, we decided to have an in-ground pool and faux rock water feature installed. After seeing two different local pools built by BDL Structures featured on two separate cable TV shows, we were excited to meet with them to give us a bid. We ultimately gathered 3 bids and did some research on each of the companies. It should have raised concern in the beginning that BDL had virtually no reviews online, good or bad, but the thought of having “the guy who had pools featured on TV” building our pool, enticed us to select Brad Long of BDL. They had to be the best, right? A TV show wouldn’t select a company with a bad reputation or one building substandard structures, right? Brad Long (BDL Structures, LLC) started construction on our pool and faux rock water feature towards the end of 2015. Our experience through the last 4 years (yes, 4 years), has been a nightmare. We ended up in court early this year (2020) seeking reimbursement for funds we had to pay to a second company (at his direction because “he was too busy”) to make adequate repairs to the water feature that began falling apart almost immediately. We reached out to Brad repeatedly regarding our concerns about the deterioration of the faux stone structure and his responses were defensive, mentioning how many they’ve built the same way and that we would never be satisfied. His repairs were a band-aid at best, only patching the most troubled spots. We won in small claims by default judgement because Brad Long failed to appear, waited 30 days for him to appeal the judgement (which he didn’t), then contacted him requesting payment of the debt he now owes us. His response was that we were lucky he had things going on and couldn’t make it to court which allowed us to win the judgement. While we pursue all avenues to try and collect this debt from Brad Long, we wanted to make public the bad experience we had with BDL Structures. There is no way we would recommend him to anybody, in any capacity. If you have already signed a contract with him, watch over him and his crew every-step-of-the-way, take TONS of pictures to protect your interests and get EVERYTHING in writing."

Huskie'z Landscaping, Inc is truly a complete service landscaping company that has been committed to a high standard of work for more than 10 years. Our experienced and professional staff is able to take care of just about any job customers may need done pertaining to the care of their lawns or gardens or the construction of hardscape features. We enjoy what we do and strive to show that to each customer by ensuring that all work is completed to their full satisfaction.

"Huskiez has been the best landscaping/contracting company we have hired. We've done a lot of remodeling of our exterior, and this is the company we will stick with from now on. The pricing was in the middle (not the cheapest, but by far not the most expensive, and they earn what the charge and more1). The GM, project lead and other contacts for the project were immediately responsive, the entire time. I never have contractors stay just as closely in touch through every day and week of a project. They did. We expanded our project to where we overhauled the entire outside landscape - installed turf grass, a bocce ball court, cobblestone pathways, weed skirts, concrete pouring as a base for a shed and a gazebo, as well as redoing and cleanly setting up our sprinklers and drip lines. These guys were amazing and it shows. I have never had a contractor end on the date they said they would. This time, the Project lead JJ said 3 weeks - and it was 3 weeks. We added one single day, but it was my request for some add on work. They also took the time constantly to walk the project and tell us what they did, what was happening and any issues were immediately brought to us. Also - we had a vacation for a week during this project. I've never felt comfortable leaving town with such a project happening. This time we did, and it worked great. WE were given text updates and still were being contacted for any concerns. They only time the team made a judgement call on something without us, it was 100% what we would have decided, so we were able to trust the project lead's interpretation for certain changes, and for any that they thought had even a small chance that we'd need to provide our opinion - they always looped us in ASAP. This team deserves significant kudos and appreciation - when we have a big party to celebrate our new exterior, we are definitely inviting the crew."

No job too small.

"I hired Scott on August 17, 2018 to do some minor electrical, plumbing and some sheet rock repair in preparation for some kitchen cabinets being installed. I made it clear that the time to complete the project was very important because the cabinets had already been purchased and were waiting at Lowes for installation. He assured me that he could complete the job in just a few days and asked for a deposit of $300.00 to start. I wrote the check and asked him to start asap. (the check was cashed that same afternoon). He said he would like to get an early start, and we agreed that he would be at my house the next morning at 8:00am (the whole household had to get up early to accommodate this schedule) He never showed up until about 9:15 am. He said he had to take his daughter to work. He only worked until 10:15 am and then had to leave for the day. He said that he could not return until Tuesday morning because he had prior commitments. I texted him Monday night just to make sure he would be there on Tuesday. He indicated that he would be there at 8:30 am. He showed up at 9:15 am and worked for about 45 mins and left. He told me that he had to take one of his children to the Instacare. And then he had to go to Park City for something and asked if he could stop by on his way back around 9pm, just to go over what I wanted. (I had already giving him plans for the whole job). At 9pm he texted me and said something came up in Park City and he was just leaving. He still had to pick up his wife in Salt Lake City and then he would be at my house. That was at least 1 ½ hours of travel time. I told him it would be too late. He promised he would have the whole day Wednesday and would be at my house by 10am. He texted me on Wednesday at noon and said he was on his way. I called him at 1:30 wondering where he was AGAIN and left a message (he never answers his phone). He texted back again saying he was on his way. He got to my house about 2:00 and finally worked for a few hours (till 5:30). He texted me at 2:00 saying he was up at the University and was on his way to me. An hour later he texted again saying his car was over heating…… got to my house at almost 5pm. I sent him away. I guess he gets to keep the $300 dollars I gave him….. He had worked a total of maybe 5-6 hours. (Only really did about 1 ½ hours’ worth of work). My son had to redo most of what he did because it was not done right. By this time my son had taken the 1 ½ days off and had finished the whole project."

FAQs for swimming pool in ground build or installation projects in Emory, UT

Plunge pools are compact, intimate water features for relaxation and gentle exercise. A plunge pool provides a refreshing option for wading, low-impact workouts, and cooling off rather than full-length swimming. Built to maximize limited outdoor space, these pools deliver enjoyable benefits at a lower cost while simplifying maintenance and installation requirements.

Swimming in a plunge pool answers the need for relaxation rather than lap swimming. A plunge pool is not designed to support continuous swim laps but supports light water aerobics, gentle stretching, and refreshing dips. Its compact design caters to low-impact exercise and occasional splashing, making it a perfect solution for quiet, intimate outdoor water enjoyment.

Plunge pools offer many benefits of a traditional pool in a smaller footprint. They are less expensive to build and maintain, providing a place to cool down or relax during warmer months. However, for larger families or those who frequently entertain large groups, a plunge pool may not suffice. If a smaller pool fits your lifestyle, a plunge pool can be a valuable addition.

Plunge pools are constructed with depths ranging from 5 1/2 to seven feet to ensure a comfortable water experience. This depth caters to recreational use and safe water activity. In addition, semi-inground models are engineered with edges that extend 12 to 18 inches above grade, while above-ground versions feature depths between 42 and 58 inches, offering versatility for various outdoor settings.

Installing a safety fence around your plunge pool is essential to keep your household and visitors safe. It may also be required by local regulations. A safety fence helps protect children, pets, and visitors by preventing falls and unauthorized access. Check with your local authorities to understand the specific requirements in your area.
