"Todd was the tech on my job, he was friendly and answered all my questions Was varied, though, and did a fantastic job. His attention to detail was evident in how he set up and routed wires, ensuring everything was neat and looking perfect. He was fast and efficient and cleaned up the site when done . he walked me through everything he did and why . Would recommend Jco to everyone, their fair pricing and on-time services are truly a rare thing in this service area. Thank you so much, Jonathan"

"BCE came & fixed everything EXCEPT the faulty breaker in the panel & then they claimed that it wasn't in the quote. Had to get an additional electrician to come & complete the job. Owner just kept saying it '...wasn't in the quote' in effort to cover himself & not make it right. Here is my original post on Angi, so BCE cannot claim they did not know of the issue: I purchased my mobile home just over a year ago. I am looking for a quote for electrical repairs to be done as soon as possible. I am having problems with my control panel: Labeled (Square D Load Center QOC 20MG225 Series L7). One of the breakers keeps tripping, which means the entire secondary bedroom, main bathroom, hallway, & ceiling lights in the kitchen, and 1 single outlet on the east wall of the main bedroom are presently not powered. This issue has been progressive; breaker would only trip once a month or so, but now trips immediately when trying to reset. I have stopped trying to reset & have left it alone. "

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Eugene, OR

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
