We were pleased to find a company that could handle the carpentry as well as the painting. The company is closely managed by Leo, the owner. He communicated with us quickly throughout the whole process from estimate to completion. They started and finished the job when they said they would. Leo was on-site overseeing the job and working almost all of the time. His crew was friendly, polite and hard-working. They went the extra mile - giving the side of our house that gets sun an extra coat of paint and even using the power washer to get rid of moss on our patio. Leo has high standards and great attention to detail, and would point out anything that needed special attention. In the extremely rare instances where we had a question, he was quick to respond and make sure that we were completely happy with the job. "It's not possible for me to say enough positive things about David DuBose/Cutting Edge Inc. Unfortunately, we had gone through 2 different, high scoring, wallpaper companies and Thumbtack - for 2 different jobs neither of which were satisfactory, the second job in particular which included a small bathroom, walk in closet was done so poorly (dozens of poor seams, bubbles, tears, overlaps) that it had to be completely redone. David responded to us within less than a day, came to our house, evaluated what needed to be done, and was not only very informative, and let us know that we had to start from scratch and why. The wallpaper needed to be removed, the walls prepped, and the paper was rehung, not only in that room, but in a stairwell. Considering what he had to deal with, he gave us an incredibly fair quote, which we immediately agreed to, and for his crew to come in and do the work. He got us scheduled within 10 days and the crew was nothing less than courteous, professional, and excellent at their jobs. They walked us through the whole process after completing the job, the wallpaper looked absolutely flawless and they cleaned up so well, you couldn't tell that they had been there. You may pay $100 or $200 more than other quotes that you may get, but just remember: you get what you pay for... and we learned that hard lesson twice before we found David DuBose/Cutting Edge Inc., if you want to get a job done right, stress free, and by someone that will back up their work 100% if there's something you do not like, look no further than David DuBose/Cutting Edge Inc. and we'll have them back when we're ready to do our kitchen."

"We unfortunately didn’t have a good experience with Wow. We selected a matte sheen for our interior and they used velvet, didn’t repair nail pops, & used a long nap roller, leaving an orange peel texture on our previously smooth walls. We had some areas needing sanding which were not properly done. To be fair, when we raised concerns, they returned promptly & did a nice job fixing the exterior. They applied 1 coat of matte to the interior, again using long rather than short nap roller we requested. 1 coat didn’t fully cover the shine and orange peel remained. My husband preferred to attempt a fix ourselves rather than having them return again, so we told them it was better. We told them we applied a 2nd matte coat with a short nap roller to further reduce shine and smooth the walls. They did not acknowledge this or offer any rectification. We paid $2400 for our interior, applied 2nd coat ourselves, and are stuck either living with orange peel or paying another company to fix it."

His crew did a great job painting the exterior of our home, staining the front of our property, and detailing the trim work. The total cost people included some carpentry work that one of his subcontractors assisted with, replacing boards on our home and deck. Overall, great experience!"

"Have used AA Painting in the past and was pleased. This past summer I had my ceiling sprayed and was happy with the how it looked immediately. 6 months later I began to see some cracking in the paint, but was not completely concerned. A couple weeks later it began to start peeling off like a river birch. At this time I called and left Don a voicemail, and sent an email. Waited a week to follow up again, still nothing. After multiple emails and voicemails with photos of the issues, I have not received a response. I was not even that mad as things happen, but to disappear when your work is being questioned has me really disappointed. When speaking with other painters they have told me this issue was due to too much paint too fast (coats not completely curing)."
