"I had a large, (6200sq.ft.) custom home that I was preparing to put on the market and had H.E.R. Inc. come in to do many tasks. They prepped the kitcken for the new counter tops. Installed the new sink, faucet, wall ovens and cook top. Because the house had matching coustom woodwork throughout, I really wanted the work to be seamless looking so that the new owners would not be able to tell where new updates began within the existing trims and built-ins. Also, H.E.R. Inc installed new wine cooler and under cabinet refrigerator in the custom bar. Again, the work was done making modifications to the woodwork in a seamless manner. In each of the bathrooms, I replaced the sinks, toilets and faucet sets and shower heads. In master, they re-caulked the walk-in shower as well. Also, they installed Travertine floor tiles in one of the half-baths to match existing tile elsewhere in the home. More updates were done in the laundry room etc. This crew is made up of 4th and 5th generation contractors. They are always prompt, curteous and they know what they can do and what they can't do. I would (and have) used them again without hesitation. In Fairbanks, I have discovered that the best contractors are always busy and are known by word of mouth, not by advertising."

"1. Our Design Consultant Amanda was extremely knowledgeable about window and door construction and design. Her advice was tasteful, helpful and invaluable. She did not use pressure on my wife and I in order to make a sale. She was pleasant and she was focused on what my wife and I needed and wanted. 2. Our Project Technician Derek was friendly, professional and focused. He was exacting in his measurements and answered all my questions thoroughly. 3. Our installers Bob, Charles, Aaron, Austin and Manny were very polite and professional and despite sub-zero temperatures (this is Alaska) exhibited real craftsmanship in their work. The result is beautiful windows, a sliding door and a Bay window that my wife, myself and especially our two cats have been enjoying to no end. Upon entry into my home the Renewal by Andersen Alaska team rolled out drop cloths from the front door to each work location. Ceiling to floor plastic barriers were erected at every window and door site where work was to be done. At the end of the work day my floors were thoroughly vacuumed and wiped clean. 4. Besides the beauty of our aforementioned windows, sliding door and bay window, there is an immediate and profound difference in how much warmer our house is. "I received an elevator kit and assembled it myself. The instructions were OUTSTANDING! Clear, concise, comprehensive. Hired someone to cut the hole in the garage attic floor and installed it myself."

"It was an expensive repair. The repair process was extremely long and drawn out with multiple contractors. The quality of the work was just very average. They had to cut away and strip away a lot of sheet rock to get to the problem. They finally figured out it was a plumbing leak after we had had multiple people in there evaluating what was causing the leak. So we had people treating some mold damage and water leak and ultimately it was determined that it was a pipe leaking up in the attic after looking at the roof and all kinds of things. They subcontract their emergency service contractor for all kinds of water damage, fire damage, mold e.t.c. They subbed out the plumbing. Its not that they were horrible, they just weren't great. The whole process was extremely time consuming and we had a portion of our sheet rock ceiling open for over a month."
