"The Alvarados responded to my request for an estimate promptly and Cristian visited to discuss our project in depth. He then got back to me with a comprehensive detailed estimate that was one of the most reasonable I received. Once hired, they showed up exactly when they said they would, worked all day and cleaned up all traces. Over the course of several days scheduled in advance, they cleared and pruned an overgrown backyard full of weeds and fruit trees, leveled an area, put in borders, laid pavers and gravel for a pathway and patio, put in ground fabric and mulch. Not only was their work first rate, Cristian communicated by text or email frequently, and they were patient with my questions and a couple of changes. The Alvarados are professional, personable, responsive, trustworthy, and know their landscaping, recommending plants, shrubbery and patio and pergola design all while being transparent about costs of materials and labor. "We hired Black Diamond for our backyard landscaping project (pavers, planter wall, trees, plants, fire pit, lighting, etc.) several years ago and it still looks amazing! Because we were so pleased, we recently hired them again for the front of our home. We wanted to replace an old concrete driveway, wide and replace an old brick walkway with new pavers and wanted a design for a planter feature, artificial turf, landscaping and low voltage lighting! From the first time we met the designer (Sahar), we knew we were in good hands. She was absolutely amazing from the beginning of the project to the final day. "Alfredo actually came in as the lowest bid I got because he is so fair with pricing. After reading his reviews and seeing pics of all the good work he had previously done I knew he was the right guy for the job. Cheaper prices definitely did not mean lower quality work. Unlike other contractors he gave me multiple options to choose from for different aesthetics that would all still allow proper drainage. This allowed me to pick the exact look I wanted. His crew were all very pleasant and all hard workers. They were able to pull out all grass, soil and other debris then pack all new base rock and lay rebar all in just 1 day. This was for a new single car driveway as well as another new driveway and the side yard behind that (3 new spaces to park vehicles total). The next day all the concrete was poured/ textures and they took the time to do a really thorough clean up as well as even re-route my sprinklers so they worked properly. Just 2 days to completely create 3 new driveways! I’m really impressed with the work and so are my neighbors. 3 have already asked me for Alfredo’s number."

"Number one in communications and top attention in details. We worked with Geico Builders to build our addition, ADU and install pavers on the front of the house. Overall the process took us almost one year they were delays from the city of Oakland on approval plans despite that Victor went above and beyond and smooth all process once they got to actual building. He work hard to make progress easy on our addition especially with tough Inspectors. The quality of our new ADU well-built, and the bathroom has a great tile work with precise attention to details. Their price was not the cheapest one but for the amount of time and quality of work it’s very well deserved, we feel like we got good value for the money we paid. We do recommend Geico Builders and especially Victor to all who is looking for quality work."
