"Had a lot of stuff [90+ boxes] plus furniture and other stuff to be moved from a condo to a house 70 mi away. Jeff and his two skilled compatriots (after several confirmations and instructional emails he sent days and weeks earlier) arrived right on time, with large truck, ready to make it happen. And they did. They worked faster -- with skill and respect for objects being moved -- than any movers I've used in the past. They also were ready to repack or protect any objects improperly prepared for the journey. Their quickness, and fairness on pricing, made this a headspinning (favorably) experience, Blink and the move was already over! Would use them again in a minute. Was quoted by several other moving firms in the $2000 to $3000 range. Potomac Movers would not give me a firm quote but based it on time, which had me worried -- with a delivery 70 mi away -- it could end up higher than the other quotes. As it turned out, they were 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of other firms. Am glad I trusted them."

"My experience with Carmack was great from my initial meeting with Debbie to the delivery of my goods in Michigan. The actual weight of the shipment was in line with the estimate which is very important in planning your moving budget. Watch out for companies who give you a lower weight estimate to try to earn your business. Debbie is wonderful! Her level of communication is beyond expectations! My kitchen and other breakables were packed very professionally and stored for several weeks. Thankfully I experienced only minimal damage. A coffee table top and a lamp were broken. I’ve unpacked everything that was packed by Carmack except one large piece of artwork. The crew on both legs of the trip were friendly, efficient and amazing to watch. I was very concerned about avoiding damage to my new home, especially because it is new construction and I moved in January. The guys left one person in the house so they didn’t track up. The Ops Mgr, Rob was very helpful in allowing me to meet the truck after it was loaded and had left my home because I forgot to have a big leaf for my dining room table loaded. While he was not obligated to do so because I signed the paperwork stating that everything was loaded, he helped me out and I truly appreciate it! Moving is always stressful but Carmack made it so much better! I would definitely recommend this company and use them again."
