"I first googled handyman in Marcell a few years ago and Handyman Pete appeared. I called and he answered personally and came over that day to introduce himself. From that day forward he has become a friend who we completely trust entering our cabin to do any project I throw at him. We work together as a team communicating by phone or text even sending photos along the way of ideas and projects in process and completion. He has such great ideas to share and he’s open minded to all mine. We are a great team!!! He’s so easy going and fun to work with and his pricing can’t be beat. We plan on having him replace our existing roof to metal next. I consider Pete as part of our family :) I can text or call him to stop by and check on our property if needed in case of a storm or even pest controlling. They don’t call him handyman Pete for nothing!!!"

"The crew working on my project obviously didn't get the message that the existing gate, which WAS in great shape, was going to be reinstalled and used with the new extended fence. They threw it in their trash pile & damaged it a little, but still used it. The new posted were installed way lower than the existing posts, so now the gate stands 6" or more higher than the post that it's attached to and it looks awful! I called the owner many, many times to have them come back and correct this. He kept saying they would make it right because he wanted happy customers, but it never happened. I meet with the owner 2-3 times at my house, to point out this obvious mistake his crew made and he said they would come back & fix it, but Never did!!! That was 2 years ago, and my gate not only looks awful next to the fence, but it's breaking every time I have to open & close it. This is because they also made the opening for the gate it small. The job they did with the original fence was great, and we had also hired Liberty Fence to put up a wood fence around a very large yard at our previous home and they did a great job, but after they just walked away from correcting their screw-ups on this job, I would never hire them again. In fact, right now I have to find & buy new gate since the current one doesn't open or close anymore!"

"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

"Andy performed quality work, was dependable, picked up his tools and debris prior to leaving for the day, and ensured that our expectations were met. He enlisted extra help in order to complete the job in a timely manner. Andy effectively communicated with us prior to beginning the job, as well as, throughout the process. We intend to continue hiring him for future projects."

"Our roof was leaking due to an ice dam. After spending most of the night babysitting the situation I sent out several requests for help. Chis VanVleent dba as Ice Dams Removed was quick to get back to me and was at my house by 7:30AM the next morning....only hours after I had submitted an online request. I was very very pleased with our experience in an otherwise tense moment. His rate was reasonable even though he could have gouged us. He worked very quickly and efficiently and I believe this was because he knew what he was doing and was honest. I will be keeping his card if i have a need for a contractor down the road."

Three acres of potatoes were the seed for the first Scheels store in 1902. Frederick A. Scheel, a German immigrant, used the $300 he earned from his first harvest of potatoes as a down payment on the first Scheels, a small hardware and general merchandise store in Sabin, MN.\n \nScheels Hardware entered the Fargo/Moorhead community in the early 1930s. In the years following WWII, the company expanded by opening hardware stores in a number of communities up and down the Red River Valley. The store located on Broadway in downtown Fargo remained the focal point for the company until the opening of a new store in south Fargo in 1970. “Southside Scheels” existed as a full-line hardware and sporting goods store until 1994, when the operation was split upon the opening of a stand-alone sporting goods store. Scheels Home & Hardware expanded to fill the existing South University Drive location and remained there until moving to its current location on 13th Avenue South in 2006. \n \nOur current location is a 45,000 square foot store housing a unique collection of specialty shops under one roof. Fashion women’s apparel, home furnishings and décor, barbecue museum, and a café featuring housemade soups, sandwiches and drinks are but some of the unusual features which add a distinguished flavor to the broad selection of traditional products typically found in a hardware store. Far more than just hardware, Scheels is all about Home and Hardware... a destination to be experienced!\n \nMerchandise selection has changed dramatically over the years. From farm supplies to camera equipment to major household appliances to motorcycles to home furnishings and women’s apparel, Scheels has always worked tirelessly to provide the highest quality products that our loyal customers desire. While the merchandise has changed over the years, the focus on personal service from friendly Scheels associates has not. Our success over 100+ years has come from this loyal base of customers served by dedicated associates.

"Good for small jobs (replacing faucet), but apparently not for larger jobs. Contractors obviously were not skilled at what they were doing and caused more long-term damage. Also cheap materials were used despite request to use quality materials. Looked terrible in short time. Very displeased. Will not use again."
