"Remarkable. Talented. Personable. Honest punctual professional. John repaired a metal stair railing damaged by a fallen tree limb. I thought for sure I was going to have to replace it. He told me he could repair it like it was never damaged. And he did."

"From filling out the online for to inquire, to the estimate, to the actual work being done was lightning fast. I was contacted the day after filling a form. They sent an estimator to my home quickly. They provided a detailed estimate for the fence as well as plans for me to look over and approve. The estimate for install after I approved their quote was 4-5 weeks out, which would have put us to June 22 for install. They contacted me about a week PRIOR to that date to see if they could install sooner! It was moved up by about 5 days and we could not be happier with it. The fence itself is cedar, was installed within a few hours. The installers were friendly. They explained what they were doing, how the latch in the gate worked, and made sure I had no other questions prior to leaving the jobsite. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. From first contact through completion, I felt well taken care of. The work is quality, the people friendly, and service was excellent"

Small jobs welcome

"We had several items that needed to be completed prior to a big foundation repair. I hired JB Construction and was extremely pleased with the work done and the professionalism of the crew. Hiring them was a great relief since they took care of all jobs instead of me having to contract them all out to different companies. Work included: Gutting an entire finished basement, deck removal, temporary deck stair relocation, electrical relocation and sump pump electrical installation, fence removal, temporary fencing, and air condition unit relocation, JB even met independently with my foundation company to ensure proper alignment of tasks and coordination between the companies, It was such a relief to have JB handle everything. As we go onto the next phase of putting it all back together, I am looking forward to working with them again and know with confidence that fair pricing and top-notch work will be a part of our partnership."

"I'll start out by saying that I thought being a veteran owned company they would be OK. I chose them because I was looking for a company that would be able to do other jobs around the house. I think their price was a little high, but I am not able to do these kinds of projects anymore, so I chose them. I should have looked up the prices for all the parts they purchased, but I didn't until after the fact, because I don't believe the amount they charged for the items equals the amount they charged. The manager of the company is very nice and I believe he knows what he is doing. The person who came out to do the projects was nice and was very friendly with my father, who has dementia. The person who came out put on new weather seal on the bottom of the garage door, lubed the rollers and the chain, and put some more weather seal around the door frame of the door in the garage. He did inform me that there was wood rot on the door, so we are going to have to get a new door someday. I felt sorry for him doing it on a cold day. He replaced a burnt-out electric outlet in my father's room. I thought that he was going to turn off the breaker for that, but he didn't, and when he removed the burnt-out outlet, it actually started on fire which he put out by blowing on it. Now, I am a little leery of the circuit, so I am going to have an electrician come to check it. He also replaced a part in the shower that holds the hand-held shower head. It worked fine for a day. I contacted the company, and they had the person come back out. He showed up that day to look at the problem. He fooled around with it but couldn't make it stop leaking. I thought he said that he was going to go get something else and come back, but he never did. I was under the impression that he was going to replace the shower arm and the handheld shower because that's what the parts list said. I would like to give the company a 3.5 to 4. I don't believe I will use them again. I think I am going to be better off just calling whatever kind of company I need to fix something."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Farley, MO

Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.

Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.

Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
