"This company advertises free estimates, but as soon as they come out, it?s 179. I paid too much for a radon fan so that I wouldn?t eat the 179 fee per visit. I asked the office what was covered for free per the website, and this was the response: ?To clarify, while we do offer free estimates, the $179.00 service fee was disclosed during our initial phone conversation. You had the option to decline the service at that time if you did not agree to the charge. Additionally, had our technician identified any further issues with your system during the visit, a free estimate for that specific repair work would have been provided then.? I must have misunderstood during the original call, but beware that free isn?t free. Also, the tech called at 915, told me he would arrive between 1015 and 1030 and got there around 1115, outside of my 9-11 service window."

"?????⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I called in LATE on a FRIDAY afternoon. APRIL enthusiastically answered, FIRST ring, & I explained the awful noise from my sump pump. She got me on the next day's schedule. Saturday! I gave her the specs of the unit & she calmly took notes for the technician. Jimmy texted on his way, arrived timely & had all the necessary parts stocked in the truck! He completed the changeout in record time & accepted credit card payment. The entire process couldn't have went any smoother! The new Zoeller unit runs so quiet, I don't hear it at all in the house. After seeing the shooting plume of water, I informed Craig the SM & his followup exceeded my expectations. Great team to work with; excellent service, fair price! Ten Stars!"

"PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORKMANSHIP OR PARTS!!! NORTH STAR HVAC ORDERED AND INSTALLED A DEFECTIVE DEFROST BOARD & SENSOR 2/1/23 - I PAID 2 HOURS LABOR $250 + TRAVEL CHARGE ADDITIONAL $125 PLUS PARTS & SHIPPING = $493.92. DEFROST BOARD WAS DEFECTIVE, NORTH STAR INSTALLED A SECOND BOARD 2/27/23 AND CHARGED ADDITIONAL 2 HOURS LABOR-$250 TO REINSTALL A NEW DEFROST BOARD. I WAS CHARGED LABOR TWICE TO RECEIVE A WORKING DEFROST BOARD. WHEN I ASKED TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE ORIGINAL LABOR - NORTH STAR STATED I, THE CUSTOMER, WOULD HAVE TO WRITE TO THE MANUFACTURER OF THE DEFECTIVE DEFROST BOARD TO REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE CHARGE, THE LADY GOT NASTY..."

"Our heater stopped working in the evening and house temp was in 50’s. I called after hours and Ed called moments later. He explained the cost of immediate service and cost or if I was able to request for the next day. We decided to wait and when I called to schedule a service call, we were proactively put on the schedule. Service Tech Chris was timely, professional and knowledgeable.
